Why does RR cut song names off?

Why is it that road runner cuts off entire words sometimes in song names instead of just ommiting the letters that fit. I've enclosed an example of it doing this below. in this case the song name just reads 'manic' when it should be 'manic depression' Is there any way to change this behavior?

because you have the font too big to display all of that song title.

I realize that the font is to big to display the entire title at once, but if I am to select that song then it will display the rest of the song title up to where it gets cuts off. I also realize it does this because it scrolls song names that are too long, but it can I get it RR to invoke this for all the songs without actually scrolling? eg, for the song to come up like this, but not selected and not scrolling... I can only get it to fill the space when selected.

It could cause adverse effects on scrolling the list.

RR gets to calculate the precise size it can display on the selected item, exactly because of the scrool feature.
