XM Direct Character Length?

OK I've looked but not for very long. How many characters should the XM Direct be displaying? I get 16 characters for artist and 16 for song title so obviously it truncates the long titles or artist names.

I've read late 2005 articles about a pending XM Direct that can display 32 characters but I don;t know if these were valid posts or not.

Is there a newer model that can display more or is 16 characters correct for the Direct?

Thanks,
Chuck

XMD1000 = 32 for artist, 32 for title
XMPCR = 16 for artist, 16 for title

If you have PCR mode enabled by any chance then it wont display the 32.

Also, note that only SOME channels will send 32 characters, while others wont.
The hits channel for instance I can recall sending 32 chars for each.

Thanks for the reply. I do have the XMD1000 but I read other forums where there were complaints of it only displaying 16 but it was suppose to change in future revisions. I don't recall any of my stations displaying more than 16 but let me double check the hits channel. You know I'm starting to think that my great deal on an XMD1000 was not so great after all. Maybe it was an older overstock version and maybe is why I have slow initializations and only 16 characters...
