How many of you use RRconfig on a touchscreen
The reason i ask is because I think many people use it with a mouse and keyboard and don't need it to be fullscreen like that (I may be wrong). I think it was Skippy76 that had a "windowed" version out and personally I liked it better because I was opening RRconfig constantly for skin editing and such. I think if it was set to 800x480 it would be viewable both on a desktop and 7" touchscreen. What do you guys think?
I having to pull out a map to view it on my 30" monitor but even on a 19" monitor it's a bit "in your face" so to speak.

I use it on mine occassionally, normally I just set it and leave it alone. Didn't I see someone with it embedded before? ( I could be wrong) I like what Your saying about the 800x480 though.

its embeded in my skin, i dont use a keyboard and mouse though.
I think it needs to be fullscreen, or at least fullscreen when im in the car.
Ive been contemplateing trying to build a config inside the skin, but not sure if im ready for the trouble yet.
I think you just need to embed it into your skin, i usually allways have RR open anyway.

With it RRConfig don't You have to close RR and re-open it for the new settings to take affect? If that's the case how does embedding it work?

yeah, you have to restart RR for the settings to work, but on my skin if you click and hold the exit button, it will exit RR , wait 5 sec(time to kill external apps) and restart RR. Embeding it, IMO is the easiest way to access it while in the car.

I use it occasionally on the touchscreen but do most of the config stuff in the house. I agree that bigger would be better.

I am still in the final customization stages of my CarPC (In for 3 days now), so I use it all the time to change things. I am trying to decide between iGuidance and Streets '06 so I change that a bit. I am trying to find out my favorite skin, and rather do it that way than through the skin change button in the skins. And other such things.

I occasionally use it in the car when something gets screwed for whatever reason. For example if the GPS ports changes or doesnt pick up then I have to sometimes check in RR Config. But for the most part, I set it up and leave it alone.

VNC - RRConfig or anything for that matter is no problem. I occasionally use RRConfig on the Road when tweaking something, but as most above rarely is it needed once the inital set up is done.

Make a poll.
I use it on a TS. Maybe a better question is, if you need it in a pinch, do you really want to have to hook up the mouse & keyboard more than having a full screen app?
