Audio Muted on startup

Having some odd issues with audio lately, prob since about the last update.

If i shutdown my computer without exiting RR first, when i reboot my audio is allways muted. If i exit RR then shutdown, my audio state does not change.

Observations:

RR has always did something to the audio line when it exits (for me) but im not sure why and cant think of a good reason why. But figured it had to be for something. Normally when i would exit RR, i can see that it mutes the audio then unmutes it right away. Again, this has allways happend as long as i can remember.
The only thing i can think of is RR is still trying to mute the audio but unable to unmute it while the system is shutting down.

This has been happening in my car for a few weeks, but i never think about it when on a desktop cuz i almost never shutdown. So i just tested it out on my laptop, rebooting a few times etc. Everytime i reboot with RR still running, the audio is muted when the system restarts.

any ideas?

Well, you are correct about muting upon rr shutdown, i've seen it in the code.

Cant remember Y it was added though, I have just comment out that line and the one that closes winamp, can't stand when testing something and the music stops/starts!

The mute deal was always a concern and I have improved the exit procedure so it is no longer necessary. In any case, if you wish to prevent the muting when exiting (on the current version), you can add exitmute=false to RR.INI. The reason it was there was to prevent music from re-start playing while shutting down winamp (if you were listening to Radio/Sat Radio/Video etc).
