I did the RR update, now I can't start MapPoint
When I click on MapPoint it brings up the RR overlay in bottom part of the screen where the Font, GPS, and View buttons are....but where the screen is for the MapPoint maps.... the Windows desktop is there. It's like it doesn't start it. Any ideas?

I checked to make sure I still have it installed, and it still works by itself. Is there a path for RR to find it that could have got lost some how? It is 2004 not '06, but I don't think that matters. I love MP, I hope I can get this running again.

I had the same problem...the latest version of RR is not working with MP2004. Upgrade to 2006 or use the previous version of RR until it's fixed.
I upgraded MP...

So, I did a clean fesh install on a new computer with MapPoint 04 and the most recent version of RR. Same thing. So I now know that it isn't just my carputer, it is the software. So everyones RR opens MP just fine on this latest version of RR? Theres got to be a way to fix this...I use it all the time!

why are you bumping the thread. He's already said that since the latest rr is compiled with 06 you cant use 04. Time to upgrade.

So how do I get the older version of RR? I am no programmer, but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to get both versions to works, especially 04 since it worked for so long.

the very latest should work fine with 04.. I still have it in one of my machines.. and have 06 on my laptop.. but you should def. try an erlier version to see if mappoint is not shot.
