My updater said there was a new version available, but says "download Failed" every time I try to download it. Any ideas?

I have RoadRunner Updater version 2.0.0.2
I launch it, updater status: Ready...
Click Check Your Version
Says: Your Version is: 2007/11/04
Click Check for Update
Says: Update Available
Click Download Update
Says: Download Failed.
Have you any idea how annoying this is, and its been this way for I think 42 days and counting.
I have done as you specified too "TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A CLEAN & UP-TO-DATE FILE, ONLY DOWNLOAD YOUR INSTALLER & UPDATER FROM THE LINKS IN THIS POST!!! The files should be RR_Install.exe and RR_Updater.zip"
Hope your Post is updated.

Dont feel bad. I'm running the 9/30 version of RR and I try to update to the new one, and it says I am running the new one.

Evenin Chaps.
In a little pickle atm, ive read this thread over very carefully and tried to install RR, however it seems to be unable to install the "RoadRunner.exe". Now, ive read about people having problems with AV deleting it or not allowing it, but ive tried this on my standalone pc (No internet/network/antivirus at all) and still unable to run or update RR.
I wish that guy who had the same problem returned to explain what he did to help his situation, however if anyone may know, would be great to hear from you.
Will keep trying different combinations and such.

RRConfig creates an rr.ini if it doesn't find one. If there is no rr.ini, you have not yet run RRConfig or have inadvertantly deleted it. Run RRConfig and it will create a new one for you.

Installer has not been working for a while,
Visit Guinos site, download the binaries and copy them to your RR directory.
Voila!

Try copying the latest binaries to your rr directory(c:\Program Files\Road Runner, probably). The installer/updater hasn't been updated ina while as far as I can tell. Doing this solved a lot for me.
This guide will help.
btw, are you in Portland, OR? or does pdx stand for something else?
