Same here.
Thing is this install IS mainly for the newbies, hence the reason for including the basic bmv2 skin, helpfile, etc. If they're going to be installing a more advanced/intense skin, they should know by reading the thread/readme what prerequisites there are and can choose whether or not to install BMV2 and/or WinAmp 2.95. I can add the option to have one or the other installed...

Installed RR using the installer, copied some skins over from a different computer, couldn't get the background to work. The skin.ini entry for the background used C:\program files\road runner\etc....
The installer has a default directory of C:\program files\roadrunner\
Did I miss the change to no space? Or is that what most people are using

Not sure to be honest. I know the roadrunner executable name went from "RR.exe" to "RoadRunner.exe" a while back, but for the folder name, I've always used "RoadRunner".

Most of the time it doesn't matter...all the little scripts I build just use rrpath anyway. I just changed one of my installs to RoadRunner....everything works. Just had to change the background definition.

I have a 1-15-06 road runner installer....probably the last one I used until recently. 1-15-06 installer installs to \road runner\ which is probably why I always assumed that was the default.

@ woof-n-stuff, I'll check it out. thanks for the heads up.
@ the folk talking about the default RR directory. I'll update the next installer with \Road Runner\ as the default directory, but 1 note for the coders/skinners, file paths shouldn't be hard coded, at the very least they should be relative to your application/skin... I've noticed this in quite a few apps/skins floating around here, but I guess that's off topic
anywho.... I'll change the default on the installer so it won't throw people off.
Cheers

This weekend will be hectic for me, but I'll try to tackle all the projects on my plate asap.
