Okay folks i am back at school early. And the server is up. Feel free to download
Ckny: as for OS X support, i pretty much stoped working on it due to lack of feedback from many people on this project. If you want i can release the source to you, its not that hard, i just got busy and not to motived to add things that other people werent really in to. If this project picks up i will start adding things until then, the program will be up and hosted and i will provide support/bug fixes for people.

If you wouldn't mind releasing the source to me I'd love to play around with it and see if I can get a build.

Looks like a good product, I play all my music on itunes on my computer but my MP3 player is not an IPOD so I need to transfer it to WMP to put it on my MP3 player. So I exported one of my playlists (as a txt) and ran your program. I selected the playlist input (the location of the txt file), the playlist output (in the folder I installed Playlist Converter in, which is on the desktop). And I selected the music location, my external hard drive, where I have various folders by artist and CD where all my actual music files are. So I hit convert and the command prompt gives me an "Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 2
at java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.substring(Unkown Source)
at ParseFile.convertTxt(ParseFile.java:205)
at Converter$4.actionPerformed(Converter.java:277)
...
various internal java source references leading up to calling actionPerformed resulting in clicking "Start". Of course the source isn't available so I have no idea what this error is. Could you look at it and see if you know what's going on? Thanks, if I can get it to work it looks like it'll be great.

Intresting. what i first see is that if you are converting from a source besides iTunes, it needs to not be txt, as if Windows Media Player is in use, must be an ASX. winamp must be M3u. If you PM with you AIM i can contact you for further assistance.

I 100% agree with that! I like to create the playlists on my desktop PC. The problem was that they did not work when transfered to the car, with the different music paths. This small app has let me create all my playlists on the desktop, and convert them to the correct path to work on my CarPC.
Great work SangreDeThor, This have proved VERY useful to me!!!!!
