RREarth Please help

Ive been reading 51 page post for months now and finally got the test laptop up and running. I was able to get just about everything working out of the box except for RREarth.

1) Installed Road Runner 11-12-06
2) Installed Blue Devil Skin
3) Installed X-Port
4) Installed google earth beta 4
5) Downloaded RREarth
6) Ran RREarth.bat / Registered dll

Now here is where I am confused. says to add x,rrearth to menu.skin.. well its already there under x,gasprices or something. Its not on the top line more like below something 3 sections down.

It also says to "make a button" with "GE_START" but nothing tells me how to make a button. So I put "GE_START" in one of the other buttons.. The PC says "GE_UNDERSCORE_START" but nothing happens. Tried loading RRearth.skin.. the skin loads but nothing happens. No googleearth process is launched.

Im sure it is something very stupid.. if someone can kindly just tell me the basic steps to get this running.. my screen is coming today and id really like to get it working before I install the screen..

Also when launching GoogleEarth.kml or something (sorry forgot the extention) google earth starts, I see GPS under temporary favorites but it puts me somewhere in the middle of canada with a longitude of 0 and a latitude of something that is not where I am.

does the skin have a rrearth.skin file?

Yes, it does.. Blue Devil skin comes with its own RREarth Skin and the author says "I cant help you with this, you have to make a button to this skin.. "
which I also dont know how to do ..

I also just noticed that the ZIP file that I downloaded about 2 days ago might not have the new RREarth.dll because they are different sizes.. I assumed the zip would have the latest dll's .. I will try that newer dll when I get home but if please help with the buttons and launching GE_START . like a two year old

Yeah, you need the DLL that is downloaded seperate from the zip.

I had the same problem.

This line in the menu.skin file and doesn't have to be at the top. A few lines down is fine.
X,RREarth

The Blue Devil menu.skin, on some releases there was a hidden button, that had;
B,400,-2,231,27,"MENU;iGoptions.skin","GE_START"

I replaced it with just;
"GE_START"

Also make sure your xport is setup for multiple virtual GPS ports (com ports) and in the RR that you have one address as the GPS port. Some of RREarth betas needed to have the GPS ports activate to load the RRearth.skin

As mentioned download the lastest RRearth beta dll and make sure to run the register.bat file..
