iguidance GPS com port

Hi, i am using xport with iguidance and my gps antenna is hooked up to usb com port 8. i set my output com ports to 11 and 12 (11 iguidance, 12 roadrunner). It works fine, but every time i close iguidance it doesnt keep my selected com port saved, it resets to com1. How to i keep it set to com11? Thanks

I have had similar issues with iGuidance when I use a high numbered Com port. Check and see if you have com 1,2,3,4 or the lowest com port you have available, and set that Com port in Xport for iGuidance to use. I know this SHOULDN'T happen, but iGuidance is fickle, and this has worked for me in the past.

IG only save selected COM port if it is under 10.

i had the same problem but then i swited IG port to 5 and its been working fine ever since

i changed my iguidance com port to 6 and now it is remembering it. Thanks

how can you get xport to route to a lower port number. I have options only for 11 and up.

You have to go into device mangler and re-assign one of the current COM port to a higher number so that a lower one can be grap by Xport.

I would suggest you change the COM port created by the GPS USB driver to higher port.
