dual monitor problem
Hey guys
I am trying to get dual monitors to work properly with RR, but i am getting some strange problems in skins, i changed the X position to be on the other screen (x = 801,y = 0) and the main skin plus audio/video and so on works fine, but the Exit menu starts on the main screen. what could i do to avoid this ? The reason for putting RR on secondary screen is that my new gps software is really stupid and won't stay on the screen it has been started on (using ultramon for this), the main gps screen is fine, but the second i press anything on the TS it jumps back to the main screen, so now i use the GPS on the primary screen and RR on the secondary.

You have to open the skin file for the exit menu and edit the XPOS parameter and add 800 to current value. You have to do this for all of the pop-up skin.

Hmm, if that thing with the EXIT menu is supposed to work, then there is something i don't understand, this is the first button in the BMW2/EXIT Menu
B01,000,013,411,057,"EXIT","Exit"
Now how does that place that menu in the middle of the screen normally if the first parameter is X coordinate ?

Actually, I don't know. Maybe you just have to play around with it to see what actually work for your situation.
First and 2nd parameter is the first coordiate for a button in relative to the skin not the screen.
So if the Exit menu skin file has XPOS=300 for example. 300 is relative to screen X position.
Now Exit button at X=000. 000 is relative to skin file position. For relation to screen X position, X is 300. I hope you get the picture.
Okay, the above is what "I think", I am not 100% sure as I don't do skinning. So you just have to play around.

I need to ressurect this thread as I am having the same issue. i have a dual screen setupa and the exit menu is showing in the middle of the skin, so basically half of the menu is on the non-touchscreen monitor I use for gauges. How in hades do I define the starting position of the menu, and for that matter, I'll need to do the same on the video screen menu.
I've searched and found 3 topics that just don't help. Guino, I call on you!

my dual monitor card didn't work properly in my carpc, so i never got around to solving this. Did you try different settings for the x,y coords in the exit.skin ?

Sorry, yeah found the lines to edit /posy=450 moved it to about halfway. I kept looking for something like xpos or ypos, damn semantics [shakes fist]
And then the ground fried on my connections and surged through the video channel on the way to a show on sunday, so the mobo is kaput!
