How can you embed Mplayer as the default video player

I want to use Mplayer as the default video player instead of MPC. When I play a video and it crashes it locks up RR completely and I have to go delete the video.ini and the other video files. Also RR does not handle files over 100mb very well crash every time. it just lock up RR. Any help appreciated.

maybe something wrong with your setup, flaky codec or something, handles videos fine on my setup far over 100mb. It eats 700mb mpg files for lunch.

Actually my codecs are fine. I play videos from other player with no problem even in streetdeck. Its just RR locks up everytime i get a file over 100mb and that is one reason why i stop using RR for a while. when i use centrafuse, mobile media player, freeway or any others, I have no problem its just RR.

RR plays vids just fine, all sizes.
On my 2 machines it does anyway.
I use MPC,not the installed 1 but the 1 that comes with the CCCP Codec Pack.
I think its called the Gabest version.
