Volume control is buggy

Hi, I have a problem with the volume control. It started after switching b/w some skin files, but now it will not go away. The problem is that when I start roadrunner it sets the volume automatically to 40%, and I can't adjust it until I mute then unmute the audio. It works perfectly until I exit and then restart the program at which point the whole thing starts all over again

That is because of the 3 stage mute button. It will toggle between MUTE NORMAL VOLUME CONTROL and SPEEDATT VOLUME. To turn this of go into
RR.ini and change the line speedatt=false. True is 3 stage and Off is normal.

i have problems with volume on my test/dev machines(laptop and desktop)

Simple things, like if Volume is already at 100% and i press volume up button the master volume level goes down to 0%, even tho the volume in roadrunner says 100%. if i go up it stays at 100%, if i go vol down it goes 95%.

Sometimes it does it regardless of where the master volume was set. If master volume was at 50% and i press volume up it goes to 0% pretty much muting.

I have the same problem. Plus the volume for the GPS doesnt change, even though I have it set at 70% when the GPS talks.

The two posts above have the same solution. You need to map your RR/Winamp output to the correct line.

RRConfig, and then find the audio map area. Select Wave, Master, All or something that your system has. THen restart RR and that should be fixed. I have it set to the Wave output and I keep the master level around 5-10%. Wave between 5 and 20 percent. Good clean music. I suggest the same. Map to wave, and set master low. Escpecially if you are using onboard sound like moi.
