Mappoint 2004 and Road Runner working?

I have a fresh XP system and a copy 04 MP. I downloaded the newest version of RR. As soon as I click on the MapPoint button, the skin comes up but the program does not work. This used to work great but it has been a while since I had a carputer. I searched for ever and tried but could find nothing. Any ideas? I tried it on another computer and got the same result. Thanks

Normally this should work fine with the release version of RR because I compiled it with mappoint 04. But Honestly, there are so many map changes on in the past 3 yrs that you should really look into buying/upgrading to mappoint 06.

Normally I would, but I use iGuidance now a lot. MP 2006 is a lot of money for as much as I use it for. I just like the way it works in full screen. This there a MP update, or are there some small things I can check for that are key to it working?
PS...I used Desti and MP forever ands it would switch the com port for me when I did, but now I use Desti and iGuidance and it does not...is that right? Thanks Again

Is that right, Destinator and Iguidance do not automatically switch comm port when you switch them?
