Internet Explorer wont close

Ok , this is a new one i haven't seen a bug for anywhere so ill post and see if anyone has come across this before.

Pretty much everything on RR is now working for me since i went back to XP from vista (i refuse to use a capital for that) except one problem i have discovered.
When i open an internet page all works ok , until i go back to the main RR screen and IE stays open and on top. I can move it and it moves fine and i can Alt+f4 and it closes, which is ok for me , but for anyone else using the system it seems a bit complicated.

Has anyone seen where IE wont close before ?

Thanks in advance and a great job with RR everyone

You can set the button code to exit the screen to "CLOSE" and it should close it, otherwise, you can make it "CLOSEWINDOW;Microsoft Internet Explorer||EXIT" and it should also close it before exiting. There's also a web plugin which works a little better than IE by itself.

Thanks Giuno ,
I am using the plugin for it - in fact im using the default skin BVM2 (i think its called) with the link to WEB on it (though moved to a different location) and it opens with the IE embedded - its when i go back to the main RR window from that after clicking the top right hand button that i still see IE on top of the RR application - i think its supposed to keep the IE open , but RR is supposed to come to the front if im working this out correctly , but IE stays on top.

ummm.. You need to make sure you're not mixing the "WEB" command with the WEB "PLUGIN" command.. one has a built-in support to load IE outside RR and embed it, the other opens the web page inside the plugin (without running IE) -- Check the command used in the web button to see what you're actually running.

See, this is NOT the web plugin -- it's the built-in browser support for using IE outside RR but embedded in the skin. The actual web plugin is available on my site for download and it is called using the PLUGIN command.

the web plugin should load the very first page in your bookmark by default. You should be able to set it to about:blank if you dont want anything to load initially.
