FIXED on post #23 - Problem with "ALBUMART" indicators not updating on song change
Issue with album art indicators:
I have album art showing on the menu.skin and on the Audio_Player.skin with the indicator "ALBUMART" where I want the art to show.
The problem is, if I am playing a song in the menu.skin and switch to the Audio_Player.skin then change to the next song and switch back to the menu.skin it will show the last song's art. If I then switch to the next song, it will update, but when I switch back to the Audio_Player.skin it's on the last song. Also, the ilist doesn't update correctly either.
Here's a vid to show what I am talking about :
Any idea on what is going on here?

From this thread:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-p...rt-plugin.html
I thought this came packaged with the 12/6 release. I will try to download that plug-in later and see if it works.

The newest version of the plug-in is buried in the DFX 2.x thread i'm pretty sure. If you find it, it'll be interesting to see if it makes any difference.

Add a playlist to the menu.skin. It does not have to be visible, just 0x0 pixels, and everything will update correctly.

By Jove, I think that's the ticket... I'll try that out tonight... (because I think I have the newest version of the Mp3Art plug in.)

I was just looking for the post I put that in some time ago and could not find it. I think it was the same you are trying to do, and someone said it worked for them.
Use something like this line:
Code:
S01,0,0,0,0,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,0,0,0,TRUE,20,"Arial Narrow:B"
EDIT:
Found it! Here is the link to the original thread....

So, I tried the 0x0 S line, tried adding an iList, tried having a code that turns off the indicator and turns it back on, I've got the newest version of the plugin. So what's the next step to try?

Sorry, I honestly do not know. I have seen posts here and there having problems getting the album art to update, so there definitely seems to be something causing it, I just do not know what. Sorry.....

It just doesn't make any sense honestly. The tags update fine, and the art will update if you don't change the screens, so obviously it's not a matter of RR reading the info. Maybe something in RR v.12/06/07 (and prior?) that doesn't allow the indicator to update?
What about setting up a custom indicator in exectbl.ini? Maybe
Code:
"MAINART","$songpath$folder.jpg"
Not sure if the above code will work or not...
Or something to that effect.
That way the indicators are independent of each other and thus will update independently...

tride the list in the main menu as well, but same result, no improvement.
The sollution would be in reloading the albumart when switching frome one skinpage to the other.
First i had pictures in the folders, and didn't install the plugin. That worked. When changing from menu to mp3 player it changed with it. Only problem, imbeded art wasn't showing.
should somthing like CLEARLIST||RELOADLIST work, anly than with clearalbumart||reloadalbumart?

Still no update?
It would be nice to have albumart on more than one screen.
Has anyone tried to have an indicator with the code:
"$songpath$*.jpg"
I might try that later tonight when I get to that computer.

just did, doesn't work for my skin.
Funny think is when you change to the next song, you for a moment you see the art that belonged to the song that was playing.
