"IDL" weirdness

Setup RR with same config and skin on two machine. On one machine the IDL doesn't work at all. on the other machine, the IDL works but it is acting more like a hard timer rather then idle trigger. I set it to execute the IDL after 20 seconds of idling, however it choose to execute the IDL eventhough I am not idling at the screen. I was browsing the audioplayer's playlist and also fast forwarding songs with slider and IDL will still kicks in after 20 seconds in the middle of my activity.

I second this problem, it seems to trigger no matter whether I move the mouse, hit buttons, or keys...

Else this would be an awesome feature for me to improvise as POP up menus that automatically hide.

I'm also having problems using IDL. I'm using the latest official release 27/11/2005. If I put 1sec as an idel time then IDL functions OK. if I put 2 or more seconds as the idel time then idel will not do anything

this is my skin setting:

/, (IDL) Idle Timer
/, Seconds
IDL,10

and this is my execTBL setting
"IDLE","LOAD;external_gps_max.skin;;;FreeDrive||RU NQ;c:\program files\roadrunner\fs\fs_yes.exe"

I hope I didn't miss something, but I searched and searched... Has this issue been fixed, I've tried the latest and greatest version, but the IDL function is still a FIXED TIMER for me. I tried moving the mouse, hitting keyboards control the stuff in skin, but it still fires in X secs.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

There's a "TIMER" event and a "IDLE" event (along with a "IDLEEND" event)..

The timer is working well, the idle event had a glitch I just fixed.

it looks like this is an old problem, but im still having it on 9-9-07 version of RR. it works fine the first time it fires (doesnt fire unless it is idle) but after that, it fires after x seconds no matter what (hitting keys, moving mouse, clicking skin buttons...) it does it on both my home computer, and in my truck (both running the latest RR, but i never tried the idle command before updating to 9-9), any ideas?

my exectbl line

"IDLE","LOAD;visu.skin||VISU",audio_player.ski n

and the line in the audio_player.skin

IDL,30

Ok, nevermind, I think the issue is only when loading a new screen from the idle command..
