media player problems - dvd skips

Trying to use media player classic for playing dvds. Have updated to the newest version of everything.

DVD's play fine in Media Player 10 but in all other players have sticky playback. How can I configure Media Player Classic to have the same characteristics of WMP10?

WMP10 is a packed application and in my mind should not run as well as a slimmed down version - so my problems do not make sense to me.

as per recomendation by guino - I tried using WinDVD and PowerDVD - got the same problems, where it would have choppy playback. Doesnt make sense cause it plays in Windows Media Player but it is clear that it is no longer a problem with RR.

u might wanan change the priority for mpc cuz when i did that to mine it helped smooth my dvd with mpc.
