GPSName is incorrect in RR.ini.
It should be: GPSName=iGuidance

Just a little update regarding to iG4.
According to JWBP on this iG4 thread, everything is working fine for iG4 as intended for iGNative implementation.

This is okay for rr?
I am not using the com port splitter but iGuidance seems to work in rr with latest version of digitalFX skin and drivers that came with my bluetooth dongle. The automatic lower of sound during direction is not working now, but I haven't tried the setting mention here, so I think it will work fine after I apply the changes. But what kind of things can happen without a COM port splitter is what I want to know, like Will there be a problem in the future? thanks.

Com port splitter create more port for each application to use. If you not using it, you ONLY have 1 com port with GPS data. With that 1 available port, you can either use it for iGuidance or RoadRunner or any other GSP app you have. RoadRunner use GPS data for Speed, Heading Direction (in Degree or N,S,E,W), altitude and many other. What cool about it is that there are many flash base GPS speedo that can be use for show .

I been having a a little problem with ig4. Its not a big problem, but whenever I press GPS the window loads in the right place accept the file menu and status menu are visible at the top and bottom of the program. When i click on the home button to take me to the home screen of digitalfx and then press gps again it shows up perfectly fine without the file menu and status bars. What could be the cause of this?? It used to work perfectly fine.

How fast is your PC?
The problem I think is because your PC is slow.
What happen iG take sometime to load and during that time RR go into waiting mode or x seconds. RR will continue running after the waiting time expire but iG still loading. The result is that the top and bottom aren't completely "chop off".
One solution is trying to preload that GPS screen. It may help but I'm not 100% sure it will cuz I didn't run into that problem yet. .

I was wondering has anyone confirmed or tested road runner with ig4 without a gps reciever..If one tried can you confirm that winamp is being muted when you put in a demo route or poi..
I have been banging my head on my test machine trying to get this to work before i install in car.
i am using digital fx 2.0 installer and 2.5 download.. road runner 12/13/2007 winamp 5.13 bluezx3 road runner config .. active winamp installed. dell gx260 2.0ghz pc 2 nics one is wireless disabled antivirus.. clean xpsp2 install and i tried it in virtual pc 2007 as well volume just keeps going up and down when voice directions are said.. i changed wave volume to 60% changed winamp volume, changed ig4 volume checked and unchecked all ignative boxes .. still wont do it. I am new to road runner so i think its my fault.. can anyone confirm please will winamp pause with a demo route and no gps reciver connected.
i even tried changing the rr.ini ignative had 1 next to pause onvoice chnaged to true still did not work..

Help! Iguidance Questions Help!
Hey guys, got a few quick questions. I just installed my Iguidance 4.0 and seems to be working ok, however got a few problems.
1. Everytime I go an click on the icon for GPS it opens GPS MAP but it is not sized correctly in DFX SKIN. I kinda thought it would be FIXED inside of the GPS PAGE. (Kinda like how when you click on music or photos or the web nothing moves just stays in one place.) So if i click by mistake just below the map window, the map window disapears and i have to reload rr all over again. John, I watched your video and in the video you say if you save the screen even if you get out of it, It will still be the same as you set it. But it doesn't stay. Did I miss something?
2. And when I click on gas prices, weather, and gauges, nothing works. Example, Gas prices will only find the nearest gas station if i put in the zip code. (WHAT IF I AM SOMEWHERE I DON'T KNOW THE ZIP RIGHT? LOL) Gauges, the compass on the gauges does nothing other then read NORTH all the time. do i need so set something for the GPS to correct this? WEATHER, at the top right of the weather, it reads GPS Weather, does this change on location of the car? I will be driving to TX in two weeks and was wondering if this would change as I drive?
Thanks if anyone can answer these questions that would be very cool!
Thanks again
Phil

Please add this to the first post.
I got hung up because i had Winamp's audio out settings set to WAVE output instead of Direct Sound. so i couldn't adjust the WAV volume seperatly which meant the voice detector thought that when i had music playing that it was the voice so it kept switching back and forth.
As soon as i changed it to Direct sound it worked perfectly.

2 questions:
The integration works nearly perfectly with ignative on, but I still get a screen flicker (like it's loading the software) so it's not really a smooth transition. Is it just something I need to deal with (i.e. that's as "integrated" as it gets) or is it because my computer is "slow"??
Also, do I still need to use a com-port splitter if I am using a Bluetooth GPS receiver tied to my USB BT adapter??
Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same problem... I have IGNative enabled and clip area code removed. Iguidance works fine, but I get flickers when loading the GPS screen
Sequence:
Main Menu >> GPS Screen (iguidance loads) >> Main Menu >> GPS Screen (3 white flashes on load) >> Main Menu >> GPS Screen (3 white flashes on load) >> Etcetera
It flashes on auto zoom-ins (like to show turns) too
Am I missing something? I'm not sure what to check next. I've read all over!
Edit: Still having the problem. Tried on my desktop PC with same code and everything and still flickers everytime the GPS screen is pulled up. I noticed that when it loads the screen, the iGuidance window is shown in the taskbar for a split second then disappears (assumingly because ignative embeds it with RR). But this happens everytime... it pops out and back in. This seems to be timed with the flickering.
Also, if you open up iGuidance on its own outside of RR, you will notice that resizing the window by dragging the corners causes a LOT of flickering due to re-drawing. I'm pretty sure that's all that is happening in RR when the flickering happens. Now, how do we keep iGuidance stationary between screen loads (ie no resizing at all) ??
