Anyone else having trouble regaining their embedded album art after using older versions of El's plugin?
Even after using the "Album Art Downloader" to embed the album art in my mp3s, I still get a blank screen on the tracks where I used the older versions of the plugin.
Anyone know what I need to do to fix those tracks?
I'm using v2.1.0 now and works like a charm.

Yes, older versions erased the album art but i was able to re-embed with tag&rename. Everything is working fine with the latest version..

im getting the same freakin error with the new code. im sure its not your script that is teh problem because it works just fine for everyone else AND i looked through it and it all makes sense and looks fine. i reinstalled autoIT on the computer, same prob.
and it says:
line -1:
the requested action with this object has failed
not sure where the error is coming from....... and yes i registered the appropriate things.

yes i DLed and tried. same prob. i thought it would be. theres nothing wrong with my skin or the code. i reinstalled AutoIt and i get the same thing. that would lead me to believe its not autoit related either. but then i start running out of things to blame.....

the error you are seeing is related with the dll, there are some different dll versions in this cddbcontrol.dll one is from cddb(the one that give problems with the embeded art), and after that AOL took over,so if you dont have the right version will give you the infamous error, but what i dont get is why, i'm including the right dll(AOL). heres the properties of the one i have and is included in the package.

yea i googled this for a while earlier today and discovered the multiple versions of CDDB out there. i can assure you this is what i have done:
1) downloaded the package from the first post in this thread
2) put the tags folder in RR path
3) registered cddbcontrol.dll (tried with your register.bat and with a simple 'regsvr32 cddbcontrol.dll' command)
4) used the appropriate tag_editor.skin and made my own. also added the other *.skin files and pictures. ive been skinning awhile, i know how that part works...
5) click on a button to change the info, brings up the OSK, i type in my new info
then ERROR. this really shouldnt be that complex. i can confirm right now tho that this is an autoit error. thats what the error is coming from. this is all on my laptop, ill try the carputer later...

ok long time no update. ive got it working now, i have no idea what i did to fix it, but now it works.
New Problem:
-Sometimes it edits the wrong file. If i click on a song in a playlist, and then go edit it (while its playing), it does not edit that file. It will, however, edit the previous song, or at least the most recent song that was played without being selected from a playlist (i.e. clikcing next or previous to change the song). any ideas?
EDIT: it sometimes does this. sometimes not. whatever. just decided to let people know that i got it working (somehow.)

A new version of this is almost done, just doing some more tests, with some more extra features, capable of embedding lyrics and albumart. of course is been redone as an extention plugin.
