did some more research it will work fine with out the hu. Does any body know which one is grnd, +12v etc?
what happens if wrongly connected?
From experience= the ibus will either be going to a usb/serial connection so cud send a spike/extra volatge thru your computer (If NOT connected correctly, already done that and fryed mine.
Most ibus chips have a label on them indicating how to connect.

The only thing it does say is Ground and had + sign on it so i dnt knw which way round to connect it to the car
