i just re upload the whole package again just in case, make sure you use "ElcosMenu_beta.exe", also make sure you have installed the fonts you are using. i just triple check the source, tested the exe again and all is running perfect here.

I don't think the one I downloaded had the _beta in it, just re-d/l'd and the labels work, but they still only align left, and are a little smaller than they should be.

Here's the overlay with the new beta update:

Here's the overlay as a regular skin, not using this plug-in:

The labels are centered and are the right size, but when the exact same .skin is loaded as an overlay the text size gets smaller, and it aligns only left as well as flips the order it is displayed.

Normally, if I have two labels:

L01,...
L02,...

Label one will show on top of label two, but with this plugin, two shows over one.

Any thoughts on why it does that for me?

Also, I know I'm pushing it, but indicator support would be awesome as well, but as with anything in this hobby, I know it's not your full time job, and the progress thus far is very much appreciated.

Edit:
CPU Usage is anywhere between 8-16% on average, with spikes up to 27% when I press a button, first load, or close the overlay. This is on my laptop (Pentium M 1.7 GHz, 1 GB RAM.)

at the risk of getting in trouble ... I have to agree with Monkeyracer ...

Labels are working in Beta version and CPU is much lower than the ALPHA version, but labels only align left, are smaller font size that expected and display in reverse order from RR ... so shadows appear over the text - but to be honest this "feature" is more how I think the labels should be displayed with the first label read (in the case the shadows) displayed as the lowest layer and subsequent labels displayed over this first one.

beta is certainly an major step forward over alpha version and hopefully when you get some time to look at this again, that the next release will be very close to perfect.

Darn! this had the potential to revolutionize skin design and functionality; just think, full screen iguidance overlaid with speed data, satellite count, city, state and much more.

R.I.P

For now, I will live without label support. If only I knew anything about autoit, I could help, but to no avail...

please! go on working on this plugin!
El Camino it's really fantastic!
it's incredible...
here is a my picture viewer... a work of mine with your plugin!

...there are some problem with labels:
1) the size of the font shown through the plugin are different from that in the skin
2) they are not refreshed until you press a button
3) only left align works

to update the labels use a timer event,
i.e.
.skin file
Code:
TMR,1

ExecTBL.ini
Code:
"TIMER","SENDMSG;ElcosMenu;update",YOURRRscreen.skin

(not overlay's)
this will update the labels every second.
in my skin i use
Code:
"ONSONGSTART","SENDMSG;ElcosMenu;update"

to update the labels "TAGARTIST" "TAGTITLE"

for some reason labels size are a bit tricky. and yes they line up to the left only. for now..
