Stopwatch / lap timer

Has anyone released a pluging which, with a touch of the screen would allow lap times to be captured, stopwatch wise?

I've had a browse but can't find anything.

Thanks,

if there isn't, it should be very easy to do.

If you want to mock up a rough idea of what you want on the screen I can have a look at doing something.

That'd be great if you could, thanks.

It's for a mate who does a fair bit of track driving at Silverstone.
I gave him a basic large readout speedo based on a clear BMV2 background. All it does is display the GPSSPD label so isn't at all sophisticated.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a reset-able TIMER label?

Something like this below would do the trick. At top is the GPSSPD label and "mph" text.
With a button bottom right to start and stop the timer, and timer readout to the left of that.

Ok give this a go, the timer might be a bit clunky, but the end time and lap time should be fairly accurate.

bear in mind this is my first RR extension plugin, normally I just do programs that can be embedded.

Version 1 - very much a beta nae alpha

Extract zip to RoadRunner folder
run register.bat

read the instructions in RRStopWatch.txt for label and button info

Run RR
Good Luck

*edit known bug, it keeps counting the secs to 99 not 59

Here is a little flash timer I made for my skin. Only three functions. START, STOP and RESET.

Start command is "SETFLASHVAR;TIMER;1"
Stop Command is "SETFLASHVAR;TIMER;2"
Reset Command is "SETFLASHVAR;TIMER;3"

Right Click and Save Target As

Before you install I need to adjust the formating, as at the moment it (as I said earlier) it counts to 99 seconds not 59 before adding to the minutes.

*edit, just thought, hitting Start after a Stop shouldn't reset the counter.

Will do the corrections tonight.

Glad you like it.

Looking forward to it.

You know, it's times like this make me think of ditching CF and switching to RR myself.
The only thing that turned me away in the first place was MapMonkey, and now there are so many more Nav progs to choose from...

No probs.

It was good practice with the RR extension plugin

If he wants anything else added to it, just let me know.

Is posible start the time when velocity start, and finish the timer when are in 100kph ?

it could be exelent for 0-100kph test.

maybe you can start the timer when gps indicate 4kph, and finish when indicate 100kph.

i have speed race car, and maybe is not very exactly but could be very nice and for a testing purposes.

Well I can simply add a request to RR for GPS speed and work off that, but to be honest a button to start the counter would be better and then it could stop when a set speed, 100KPh or 60MPh is attained.
