I have an LG Dare from Verizon. I have made the serial port connection before no problem. How do you debug the com port to look for the CLID signal? I'd be happy to try.
Edit:
Now that I reread this thread and saw you had a link there for a comdebugger, I'll test it out, when I can get to it.

Wow, I just realized I've completely forgotten about this thread until now (thanks to subscription emails). I'm off from school til Jan 26th, so I can finally put more effort into this project.

I tested some with both LG Dare from verizon. When I try to use comportdebugger I got nothing. RRMobile says this phone doesn't support AT commands.

that would be my suggestion.. it would ensure compatbility for a broad number of phones.

Any updates on this? How can I test HFP on my Dare?
Which programming language are you using, btw?
Also, my sister just recently got a Blackberry Storm. Her old phone was the Verizon XV6700 (running a fairly recent Windows Mobile OS, took out the Verizon pre-loaded applications and firmware). I'd able to switch phones at any time if we'd be able to get any more data out of Windows Mobile.

I'm using VB.net
My original Idea was to use AT commands for TX/RX but after some trial and error we decided to go w/ BlueSoleil bluetooth stack and that thingie needs C++. Once we get C++ DLL for .Net I can roll out and app that will do lts of things.
Unfortunaltly as i figured many of new phones use Windows mobile 5/6 and in that case there are no AT commands and all data is exchanged via ActiveSync so there might be aneed for another module to emitate activesync or use it protocol or something

Temp, I'll be happy to do any testing for you when you're ready. I have both and LG Dare and Samsung Q (win mobile 5).

So this program will be using C++? Cool!
I'm guessing that I need the BlueSoleil stack, right?
