CoverFlow + RR = Coverjuke - Page 10

I haven't tried it. I was working on another plugin when VS2008 started actng up. I am currently trying to resolve this so I can finish this plugin.

Is the "Cover.exe" compatible with RR if I have Foobar as my media player instead of Winamp?? CoverJuke doesn't seem to be sending the directory list to Foobar.

I could not tell you, becuase I have never tried to use it with foobar. I do know that all cover.exe does is creat a variable called coverjukepath that can be loaded into a list and then played through RR. I think it should not matter what player plays the actual list.

i dont know if Covers.exe has been changed, but as far as i remember, all it does is sets the path , so RR can see the tracks inside the selected folder, is just a simple command.

SETPATH;<Selected Folder>

also in another note, coverjuke.ini has a setting that tells coverjuke to send either the folder path or the entire file list, i havent check how much coverjuke has changed, but the source for Covers.exe was available, in the original thread.

I use the latest of coverjuke, cover.exe, only sends me to the RR audio skin nothing more no list of the album i selected. It dont autoplay like the old coverjuke with Cover.exe did.. maybe I misunderstood the setup but I believe you point extenal player to cover.exe correct? I stopped playing with this awhile ago and seeing how you guys posted I figured I'd jump in and ask. I have it setup just dont use it due too I either set it to winamp and it plays but then stays on coverjuke skin and I create button to mainmenu and the album, song showing is'nt the same as the one playing.. i read this thread many times and older CJuke worked..I must be missing something...

k, dont forget, RR needs a directory list, to be able to see where to get the files from, no directory list, no files to read. i'll do a quick test today. and see whats going on. maybe something changed in coverjuke.

it depends on your coverjuke action variable and the command that u have set for Coverjuke play. I have a plugin that does all of this for you, but my VS 2008 stopped working so I wasnt able to compile the last version, and the one before it is buggy. When I find time, I'll try to get it set-up on a different machine. Until then, if you need it to work immediately let me know and I can work with u to get it to work.

well currently I been playing with voice commands to control music but I certainly would like to get this working also.. as its hard to remember hundreds of albums by title..

I set the external player to point to winamp. If its set to cover.exe it chenages screens but just can't get it to play or laod anything into RR.. Currently I set it so the center of Chrysler emblem has button ("reloadlist||exit") upon it exiting to the menu screen.. It still dont update the current music tags? I would simply like to hit album and have it switch to audio sceen and play it.. i am using the same Exbl setting as the first one that was released maybe this is my issue.

I was having the same bit of trouble with the high cpu usage. On my test machine Coverjuke ran fine using a singlecore Atom 230 on a 945G chipset. On my CarPC however I got 54% usage on my Core 2 T2500, meaning one core had 100% load. This on a 945GM chipset, and the performance was choppy to say the least.

After installing a new Intel Integrated Graphics driver ( actually I went form a ver. 7.0. "something" to a version 6 - the latest available from Intel ) everything is running like a charm.

Trying to make the CPU work like a GPU - bad idea :-)

Ok I am new to this and have been beating my self trying to get this to work. I am using the elite skin, I have been able to get the coverjuke 1.56 to embed ok, I created an new skin for it. I have read this thread five times and keep getting clues but still cant get it to work right.

which loads coverjuke inside the skin but non of the other commands work. I created buttons for them but they just make coverjuke exit. I know the new version no longer uses cover.exe which I think is the command forwarder, but not sure. I see toxic000 updated the cjsend.exe for the new version but I cant find any docs on how to write the commnad.

I am also have the playlist update problem, but the thing is when I select the album to play in coverjuke it doesn't exit back to previous skin in stay in coverjuke, so I cant ever try the hidden playlist.

i have same issue as you.. This was reason I stopped playing with it. many isssues I had and all the fixes the have posted are for ealier versions.

Ok I got more of it working, I download the th new cjsend.exe script and put it in the coverjuke folder. Edited the exectbl.ini with the following wanted commands posted by ws6vert

Created a few buttons in the my skin in elite left, right, select and reloadlistex. I can now scroll left and right select the current displaying album and refresh the playlist so elite and coverjuke the same album info.

When I select the album I would like coverjuke to go to the previous menu. Anyone now how to do this.

Guys... patience. I have posted already that I am working on a plugin for this. There is really no point in wasting your time trying to hack together a working version of the scripts posted earlier. They were written for a previous version of CJ, with a different window handle and apparently a different way of handling keystrokes. So, please be patient. I am in school at the moment, so I dont get much time to work on this, along with VS2008 issues. I will try to find time to work on this, this weekend. Maybe get a basic version working.

Sure, that's easy.

Open up your coverjuke_playlist.skin and edit the SELECT button to "SELECT||RELOADLIST||EXIT||EXIT"

If you want it to go to a specific screen like audio player you could also use:
"SELECT||RELOADLIST||EXIT||LOAD;AUDIO_PLAYER.S KIN"
