-Quick question, are you running a full version of XP or is this a partial "n-lited" version?[/QUOTE]
ws6vert, i was thinking about this today....i have a minimized xp install (used n-lite) and also tweeked my system by turning off a number of "uneccessary" services. this may be the root of my problem.
anyone have any idea which services are absolutely needed? i'll try a "hit an miss" approach otherwise.
btw: yes, only the skin is loading for me. coverjuke does not start, according to taskman.

Is "CJ Embedder V1.2.exe" starting? You should be able to verify this in task manager. If it is not, then thats where we need to start troubleshooting.
If this is true, is RR grabbing the CJ Embedder window or is it just sitting on top of RR?

There was an earlier coverflow plugin that some of us were using. I found a couple of references to it in my registry. I don't know if that was the issue, but anyone who used the coverflow plugin from a year or two ago who is having issues with Coverjuke may want to clean the registry.

Yes, I'm sure it's my system; I just don't know why. It's good to know that it's not eating up major resources on others' systems.

Sorry. I meant to say in my earlier post that I hadn't yet gotten a chance to go back through the thread to see if any of my issues had been mentioned.

Okay, I'll play with that.

ws6vert et al, i re-installed a full copy of windows (as opposed to the minimal install that i created with n-lite) and coverjuke works! whether it was an errantly set service, a missing component, or something else, a full copy of windows is now my starting point. i'll tweek from here.
now, i'd like to see coverjuke stay within the limits of dfx4's album/list view window, but that's for another time.....
thanks again for you efforts!

great to hear that you got it working. Im not sure what you mean by staying within a certain window, you will have to elaborate.

Any news on this. I really need an RR button that will reopen the folder list! I've waited hoping you could find a single command to pull it up, otherwise I'll have to write a RRCode that closes and reopens CJ and the embedder.

I have not been able to find a key command for this unfortunately. I do not think it is possible to change folders at this time.

If you have View folder window at startup set to true via:
firstfolderwindow = true
Then the following button code will close coverjuke, unload cj embedder, exit the current screen and reopen the coverjuke.skin and voila you're back to the folder list.
Code:
"RUN;$pluginspath$CJSend.exe|{ESC}||CLOSEWINDOW;CJ Embedder||EXIT||COVERJUKE"

Announcement: Can now select folder with F12

GizmoQ and Toxic!!
I found it! Sending the key F12 to coverjuke will allow you to open the folder view box and select the directory to view your covers in! The button command for your skin is as follows:
Code:
"RUN;$pluginspath$CJSend.exe|{F12}"
This allows alot more flexibility with coverjuke. You can now load all covers, or select them based on Genre, Artist, or however you have your music directory set up!
I will be adding this button command to the CJSend portion of the ReadMe!

Yeh possibly, Im going to start looking into skinning coverjuke to hopefully show how well it can look. With the ability to change folders inside of Coverjuke, this could easily replace the typical music library browser inside of RR. It could also replace the video library as well! All it needs is to be skinned to look like the skins that we use.

Nice work on this, wd6vert! Now all we need is for Mika, the developer of Coverjuke, to build in a database feature so it doesn't have to load all of the covers each time.
