If anyone is placing CM in long or tall areas (Thunder, I think), I have fixed it so that the covers spread evenly all over the area. Expect an updated download late tonight or tomorrow....

Is there a way to make the genre option, optional.
I dont want to organize my music by genre basically because there are just too many different genres.
I have my music organized basically just by artist.
I dont care about organizing my music using a bunch of different categories. Makes it more confusing.
I love the looks of the new version, (changeable button and text colors) but dont care much for all the other frills.

Ok, I've got a little video update of what I've been upto!

Firstly, CoverMess is starting to look like a full fledged audio_browser replacement!

This video is not using an XML file, it reads all the folders dynamically on first load, about 2-3s...

It will display folders without coverart with your choice of default blank cover...

The button graphics are configurable via the settings file...the default buttons are still there...

I've added a play button and add button(queues songs to the playlist) to the stage...this will play or queue all covers on the screen...ie a whole genre...if an artist is being filtered, only that artists songs will be played/queued...

The play and add buttons on the front cover will play/add that album

There is now a back cover, via the flip button! On the back side you will see a list of songs/files that are in the album/folder....you can select each song individually or grouped and those songs can be played/queued...there are also a select all/deselect all buttons...

Hoping to release by the end of week/weekend...

On with the video...
