Arrow FFDShow Equalizer Plugin

FFDShow Audio Equalizer for Ride Runner
==============================

Description:
This plugin is meant to provide the means to control FFDShow's audio equalizer from within Ride Runner.
(Provides a 10-Band Equalizer without pre-amp)

Purpose:
When using the Windows Media Player or another DirectShow based Player with Ride Runner, you can have
FFDShow control the playback of audio in which case you will be allowd to use it's equalizer from within
Ride Runner. When using other players, you can still use this plugin to add a video equalizer when
playing videos using the Built-in player, MPC or any other Video/DVD player that works with FFDShow.

Requirements:
-FFDShow Tryouts Beta 6 - MUST
-Ride Runner 5-1-2009

Instalation:
Copy FFDShowEQ.DLL to the desired location of install and use regsvr32 to register it.
For instance: regsvr32 FFDShowEQ.DLL (from a command prompt)
NOTE: Remember to add X,FFDShowEQ to menu.skin (of the skin used) or load it as a global plugin.

Install considerations:

If you use WMPRR (Windows Media Player), this plugin will automatically override the standard sliders in
Ride Runner so you can use the FFDShow equalizer without modifying the skin. If you use Winamp, FMOD or any
player which already includes an equalizer, then this plugin will override the standard sliders ONLY WHEN
playing VIDEOS. Regardless of this override, there are direct codes which always control FFDShowEQ.

Yes, as the installation section says, you need X,FFDShowEQ (in menu.skin) OR you can load it as a global plugin (by copying it to the plugins folder).

Hi Holy Guino,

I am not experienced in RR and hope you can kindly teach people like me in details how to
1. Add X,FFDShowEQ (in menu.skin)?
2. load it as a global plugin (by copying it to the plugins folder, which I did already)

When I look into Task manager
I did not see WMP loaded in the list?! Is it already running?

Here are my CARPC link for your reference.

For 1, Open Notepad, click File->Open and browse into your skin folder (generally riderunner\skins\dfx\ etc..) and select the file menu.skin -- before the END line add a new line : X,FFDShowEQ

For 2,You would not have to do 1 (you do 1 OR 2, but not both). But you'd copy FFDShoeEQ.Dll into the \plugins folder in RR and register it with: regsvr32 FFDShoeEQ.dll (from a command prompt) if you don't know how to use the command prompt you can right click the FFDShoeEQ.dll file, select "Open With..." then browse into the windows\system32 folder and select the file: regsvr32 to open that file -- when you it OK it should say "File successfully registered."

The difference between 1 and 2 is that 1 is ONLY FOR THAT ONE SKIN, and 2 is for ALL SKNS. If you use only 1 skin, it may just be easier to do 1.

In regards to WMP, you should just select WMPRR in RRConfig, and change the Visualization name to WMPVis. There are more details here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-p...r-plugins.html
WMP will NOT show in task manager is it is loaded as a "part" of RideRunner.exe.
