once we have patched radioshark.. is it possible to make this work for frodoplayer? even if it runs as a standalone application ?
worst case I just want a skinnable interface for the current radioshark program

The plugin will work as stand-alone. It will still need skin and 2 ini files.

now just have to find the right connectors to wire up my cars existing fm antenna to it, then you can hide the sharkfin out of sight.

Been off mp3car for a while, and just noticed this! Works a charm. Great work Evo!! Only thing through is that it doesn't stop playing MP3s when I load the skin - plays the radio over the top of the MP3. Did I miss something?

Aah yeah, I "fixed" it my adding "PAUSE" to the ROADRUNNER command in ExecTbl, and in the sking changing "EXIT" to "RESUME||EXIT", but it would be nice if the plugin did it itself.

Anyone interested in new plug-in functionality?
froop, thanks for suggestion on "PAUSE" issue. I will definitely add this functionality in the next release.
I'm kind of surprised than no one else found any bugs with the plug-in, and can’t believe that no one have any suggestions for the new functionality. Looks like I will have to change the RC1 to version 1.0.0
Please send me your custom skins for the radioSHARK plug-in and I will add them to the next release.
I would also like to know how many people using the plug-in. So I would know if it worth my time to continue working on it and adding additional functionality.

I've actually since posting realise its not quite ideal. The ideal scenario is that when you load the radioshark skin, mp3 is turned off, and radio is turned on. And radio continues to play even after exiting back to the main screen. mp3 only starts again when the mp3 button is pressed. Although I don't know if this is actually possible with the plug-in, or if it needs to be incorporated into RR itself.
I'm not actively using the plug-in at the moment, since the sharks's reception ain't too good in the car. Need to do some soldering.

The plugin should be able to run the "pause" command when starting up, then start the radio. Once it is started, it should remain running when you exit the radio screen (the plugin allows for that to happen until the plugin itself closes). At last the plugin should monitor the current screen of RR (using the comsend/sdk interface), and if the user goes into the audio_player.skin or audio_browser.skin, it should shut off the radio, execute the "resume" command and possibly unload from memory (if desired -- this can be performed at the quit command on exectbl.ini OR the plugin can simply monitor if RR is still running and if it closes, it could just terminate as well)
Nothing needs to be changed in RR to make this work, in fact, the pause/resume is a simple line of code from the plugin. The monitoring of the current screen in RR is probably some 3-4 lines of code. I can definitely help out if need be..

You should make the plugin kill any previous instances of radioShark.exe before it starts too.

I don't have a radioSHARK, but I was asked to include a skin for it in my Alpine skins, so I have a question.
Is it possible to have the presets in a scrollable list like the radio thats already in Road Runner, as apposed to having a button for each preset? This would save a lot of space and allow for truely unlimited presets.

It doesn't survive a hibernate for me. When I resume, there's no sound and I have to restart the plugin.
I'd really like to get the source for this so I can incorporate my Phidgets code to raise and lower my antenna. Right now I have seperate executables executing from the skin, but I don't see an easy way to make my antenna come after a hibernate this way. (I may or may not want it up depending on whether or not I'm in the radioshark plugin at resume.)

When I switch to the Radioshark using Roadrunner and the MC2.0 skin, I briefly get a blank screen, with a pink stripe down the center. Basically I see the desktop with the stripe. Anyone else seeing that?
Evolution VIII - definitely continue on with your work on this, it's a nice app... Thanks for all of your effort!
