Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Anyways, I just bought this laptop for the touch screen. Its going into a $400 car so the $60 I spent on a touchscreen laptop is all its getting. But seriously, anyway, Panasonic canada had an xp driver for the laptop model after this one and I was able to get it working on this version in Xp. So I am writing you from XP on a POS laptop with working touchscreen so you can ignore my first post (which you already have done). Total investment for complete system will about $100 total.
My other car system (for a car worth a system) is a AMD 2400+ Mobile undervolted that has the usual other bells and whistles.

the version of iG thats included in my skin is purely for astetic reasons. You dont have to use it. The version of skinbedder thats included with the skin is also not an absolute requirement but by default this is how and what the skin is setup to work with "out of the box".
When did this thread pop up? havent checked out the video yet, actually thought this was a 6month old post, had to check the dates. But from what im thinking this is pretty damn cool. Will have to download and take a midnight drive to test this all out.

LSX VOID MOD <------ use this to allow IGMon to work with the void skin
Those of you who want to use this with LSX VOID, here are the files I modified to make it usable, it gives you audio control when in fullscreen GPS (at the cost of removing the flash speedo) and is fully compatible with igmon
replace the following files (note, this is set for 800 X 600 only)
The coords.ini replaces the coords.ini in LSTOOLS\SB2.9\IGUIDANCE\
The .skin files, and the ExecTBL.ini should overwrite the Skins\LSXvoid\ files of the same name
Just unzip the attached file and overwrite as decribed above
Hope that helps
can you please mark any changes you've made, as im always updateing the ExecTBL.ini file, and i would wrather not have people copy your changes ontop of mine. I would much rather include your changes to my local files and whenever i update everyone gets the changes. For example the version of the ExecTBL.ini file you posted is older than my local version that will be released shortly and i dont expect everyone to compare the files and figure out what they need to copy and paste.
Also if you can provide a short discription on why you did certain things.
Like i dont understand removeing the speedo in gps fullscreen to add audio buttons? There are audio controls on the main gps screen, so now they are both basicly the same? Is this a personaly choice or dose this have something to do with igmon support? Im not sure as i havnt downloaded anything yet.

liquid_smoke, gonthron and civic, my iGMon version tomorrow is gonna work with LSX Void without any changes to LSX Void at all. There'll be a little more configuration to do on iGMon's part, though.

cool,
i still havnt tested out any of the files yet, but i can make changes and add in support for this, i just need to know what it is that makes it so its not compatible? Is this just a skinbedder issue? The modified iGuidance.exe? (actually its the same file as JustInTime's Big Button mod except its a red version and i added a different icon for where u are on the map)
if you arent using skinbedder, what are you using to remove the file menu in IG? Honestly this is the only reason i actually use SB.
Looked at the video, NICE!!!!
i get tired of switching back and forth to gps everytime i want to check what street im supposed to turn on. And the auto volume is my ig wish come true

This is awesome! Great idea and great app......looking forward to the refinements and improvements to come.
As far as skinning..... to change the layout of the number pad on the OSK is just a matter of changing the .bmp image and then the X,Y coordinates in the .ini file, right?

Hmmm.... you used OCR to get the street name. Why not do the same for the distance till next turn then

can we just run igmon at startup and have it wait for iguidance to be loaded that way?
And btw there's no avoid road command?

leelo, the distance to next turn always changes. If user switches to another screen and RR hides IG, I won't be able to monitor it. Plus doing OCR all the time would put a hit on the CPU. I might be considering this as an option for users with fast PC sometime later, though.

Yes you can run iGMon at start up. It'll wait for iGuidance. That's the beauty of it. It's totally separate from iGuidance.
I'll be adding more commands in later releases. Right now, all the commands available are listed in iGMon_Commands.txt.

Yes, it's very easy to do. In fact, if you're a RR skinner, it should take you no time to figure out as the skin format is very similar to RR's.
Just make sure that you define ALL the required elements as my app is not as fault-tolerant as RR.
