THANKS!!
I do want to make it load when I press the original search button in roadrunner. I'm not sure how to do that, do I change the "Searchfiles" command to something else?

Yes... I'm still writing a detailed help file on how to do that.
Short version:
Pick an unused button in any skin (incl. SEARCHFILES),
Change the code to something like this:
Code:
B06,629,214,150,80,"RUN;D:\Programs\Road Runner\Skins\ZdGrey.Copy\Extra\JTFEP.exe"
Basically you're looking to change anything from the last comma (,) onwards.
Obviously the path in your case has to point to the right place.
Also, for convenience porpuses, rename the long file to something shorter like 'JTFEP.exe'
If you're going to move the .exe, don't forget the 'Images' folder.

hmm I dont really care about this that much, but maybe someone else would like the capability to be able to double click the song (or touch) the song to play it instead of the highlight n play. both functions not take away one
uhm.. actually probably no one cares about that

Touching the song selects it so that the user can either play it or enqueue it.
Doubleclicking on a touchscreen is a tough thing to do.
I don't want to frustrate anyone.
If somebody really wants/needs to have doubleclick enabled, I'll give it a try. Otherwise, I don't see the point, either.

DJiK, one request: in the current 'integrated' version, after pressing play is there a way for jtf to hide and rr to go back to the audio player screen?

Yes.
The file from the post above would close JTF after pressing play.
If you've integrated it with RR using the "RUN" command (read post #32), RR would go back to the previous screen after pressing play.

DJiK, Wow, id didn't expect you to go get a different version of Winamp on my account! I appreceiate the help though, as this looks like it would be a FANTASTIC replacement for the weak playlist and search capabilities in RR.
I removed Winamp, went and got a clean copy, didn't even use the one I had here, and still no go
Followed your dirrections to the T and all is well till I try to configure the plugin. as soon as I hit the Config buton, thats when everything locks up.
Here is a snapshot of my screen: (I drug the CPU meter into the frame to show I was running at 100%, on a 3.4 Ghz P4 none the less...This is my desktop PC, NOT the CarPC running at 3.4Ghz! )
I am going to bite the bullet and go for the more bloated Winamp 5.x and see if I can get this to work.
I'll let you know how it goes

Just DL's and installed Winamp 5.24, and all is well! Works like a champ. Now to get off the forum and test it all out.
Ya know, this is all I needed yet ANOTHER app to have to skin!!
First I had to skinn RR, then IGMon for iGuidance, and then iGuidance itself with ResHacker, and now this.... This CarPC stuff is sure sucking up my extra time!
Thanks for a great program!

It's weird how it doesn't work in Winamp 2.95, but anyway...
If you've reinstalled the JTF plugin after installing Winamp 5.24, then it shouldn't give you any problems with hibernation/suspend.
You'll find that it works just as well in your CarPC as v2.95 did.
As for skinning... I haven't written anything up, but hopefully it's self explanatory:
Keep all file names and image sizes (pixel-wise) the same.
Thanks for trying out my program!
If you experience any technical difficulties, you know where to post.
I'll do my best to release v1.0 and all of the related documentations by the end of this week.

Hi this is a great program, but would it be possible to have some kind of system to allow dragging and selection of more than 1 track? For example:
1) you could have a key called "shift" which would behave as though you were selecting the first track you click on at the same time as the second (or even a selection box - but this may interfere with gestures) and so-on until you turn it off and then another button to drag the selection up or down just like in winamp (like a swap button).
2)Maybe you could use gestures and some way to figure out coordinates on the screen so that you could just draw a line from the first track to the last track and even a button that keeps selection on.
(sorry about the explainations and if it all sounds far fetched). This has alot of potential and I am just giving my ideas (which may not be possible to implement)
Pics may explain better what I mean.

Hello frangolfgt,
Firstly, thanks for contributing to this project!
Now, I understand everything you're trying to say even without the pics, but there are two reasons why I would not be dealing with multiple selections:
(1) At the back end, it's very difficult to change the list-boxes (the boxes with the item names) to behave as multiple selection boxes.
Although there are some ways to do it, more importantly I find it (2) redundant. You see, the list-boxes are in an alphabetical order, and as a fan of music, I wouldn't be basing my selection of the next song on the order of the alphabet.
The goods news: in your last picture to the right it shows how you'd want to re-arrange the order of the list.
If you wish, I could create two more buttons -- up and down -- to allow you to move the selected item from the queue list (on the right).
When moved up the list, it'd be played sooner (after the tracks above it), and when moved down, it'd be played later.
To do a hands on trial of what I described in the last paragraph, do the following: - Open Winamp
- Load some songs into the playlist
- Press 'J' on the keyboard
- Enqueue a few songs -- select from the list and press 'Alt+Q'
- Press the big, horizontal button that says "(Search mode)..."
- Select a title from the new list
- Press the 'Up' or 'Down' buttons to see how it works
- To go back to normal press the big, horizontal button once more.
Let me know if you want this feature...

Hello,
I was wondering if there was a way to make the buttons bigger for this APP. It is a little difficult for my to use the app because the buttons are too small i.e the letters and arrows. Is it possible to make it skin-able so ridiculously picky people (like myself) can change it to their liking?
The application is great! I would probably just need the whole thing magnified a little bit to make it work for me.

I'll check out RR's code on how they've made it skinnable with only 2 (I know --> 4) JPGs per screen.
If it works out, then you could do whatever you want (remove buttons, move the lists around, change colors, sizes, whatever).
I might upgrade to dynaimic skinning capabilites in a later release...
