Sorry to hear this. I checked this on a fresh machine without installing the K8055 software. Only placed k8055d.dll, rrk8055.dll and the rrk8055.ini in the road runner directory. Starting with an older version of my rrk8055d.dll it worked after registring the rrk8055.dll. Replace the dll with the new version and it did not work!! Did and regsvr32 rrk8055.dll /U and a regsvr32 rrk8055.dll and it worked. Please could you try the same thing. Please redownload the latest version as I have my K8055d.dll included in there.

Will do now.
Later edit: downloaded the last version.
Unregistered the DLL first then placed the files in the RR folder and registered the files you sent. Got the confirmation of unregistering and registering as succeded...
Nothing.. the board displays 0 (zero) on the indicators and that is all.
RE-done all steps again. Still nothing...using also your SKIN file not mine.
BTW, of course the board works perfect with its own software...and with the previous DLL version.

Could you please try this one? If took out a few changes that might have caused problems in your case. Need to now what language version of windows you are using and how you date/time format looks like.

hi 307
tried the new dll but its still not working for me. I tried to unregister my previous version of k8055d.dll and I get a "K8055d.dll was loaded, but the dllunregisterserver entry point was not found. File cannot be unregistered" message. Got something similar when I tried to register it afterwards.
My own app still works fine and controls the board no problem. Any ideas?
thanks

You can't register the k8055d.dll. You'll have to register the rrk8055.dll. Please have the k8055d.dll in the same dir as the rrk8055.dll (c:\Program Files\Road Runner)

ok. I've run out of things to check now. Just cant seem to get it to work. I have the rrk8055 dll registered and the k8055 dll in my rr directory. I've added the indicator to my skin but nothing appears. Using the test program supplied with the board everything works.
Thanks for your help but I'm lost now

Sorry to hear this. I don't know what is going on here. I'm building some debug code in my plugin to see if it's even called. If it's not called I can understand it has problems. If it's being called I will write some messages in a debug file what the results are of the initialization of the board. Can you in the mean time send me your debug.txt from the roadrunner directory. (please delete the current and restart road runner and open your screen with the k8055 controls.) If debuging is not on you can enable it in the RRconfig utility.

The RRSCREEN call you saw in the debug.txt means that RR has successfully loaded rrk8055.dll. So it has problems initializing the board itself. Will see what I can do with debug messages.

OK,
For the people having troubles to get the plugin to work please use the attached dll. This dll will create a k8055debug.txt with some debug info. Please let me know the results.
Thanks

here's my debug log. Hope it helps. Just in case I de-registered and re-registered the dll. Had trouble finding the k8055debug file. It was in the road runner gamma folder for some reason

This is indeed strange. I'm writing the debug file in the same location as I'm expecting the rrk8055.ini. Can you copy the k8055d.dll and the rrk8055.dll and the rrk8055.ini to this directory and try again?

Hurray. Success. If I put the files in my gamma folder everything works perfectly. Now why does it look in the gamma folder. I have checked my rr config and all seems ok. I haven't actually set the ini file path on rr config, could this be it?
