Hi
I can't even belive that post exist... really. I own a Subaru Forester.
I ordered a VM110 (it is a mounted K8055) one day ago from the local dealer of Velleman in Romania. They claim that i will have it here in 3 days...we'll see.
What i will try (read "planning" for now) to accomplish , if possible:
- sunroof control
- A/C control (hopefully)
- read commands from a steering wheel controller (Sony)
- comand a servo (from an aeromodel) to re-position a rear infrared vision camera
- re-possition an antena
- control a special opening (valve) that will eventually bring air into the trunk (rear of the car) for my dog.
Thank you very much, Guino too, for your amazing work...

Don't know what has happened, but the plug-in now doesn't work on my machine.

I have upgraded both RR to the latest 12/11/06 version and also the plug-in to version 2, now it doesn't work. The skin loads fine, but when you click on one of the buttons, RR just verbally speaks what the underlying command is.

Do i still need the beta version, if so, what has happened to the www.rrdownloads.net domain?? It directs to some other site now and i can't get the beta version. Can someone post it here please if it required.

As i said i diid have this going at one stage and would like to get it back.

Many thanks.

I think it is something to do with the new version 2 of this plug-in. I rolled back to version 1.4 and all works again. But obvioulsy i loose the new features of version 2 which i would like.

I'm sorry to hear that. Anyone else having the same problems?

I will try to use it on a fresh install to see if something is wrong with it but it's working fine on my computer I developed it on.

@Tissy

Found the problem. I'm loading the RRK8055.dll in my menu.skin so I have the RRK8055 functions available in all screens. To prevent double loading the dll I have removed the X,RRK8055 statement from the relays.skin but should have placed it back before releasing the sample skin in version 2.00. I have updated the odwnload link. But you only need to add the line:

X,RRK8055

to the relays.skin

Hope this helps

Thanks very much for a quick reply.

Now to throw a spanner in the works !! I didn't use your SKIN i used my own one (based on your one), so in effect i only upgraded the RRK8055.ini & RRk8055.dll.

So the original relays.skin file still has the line you mention in it.

Any other ideas?

Cheers mate.

I can only say that if you hear the command been spoken when you click it, the command was not found. This indicates the the dll is not getting loaded.
1. Try re-register the dll using regsrv32 rrk8055.dll.
2. If you remove of rename the RRK88055.DLL does this not change anything?

I reinstalled anorther computer just to test if there's a problem with the plugin and guess what..... it doesn't work?!?!?!?

The plugin still works on my computer I'm using to develop the plugin. It's driving me nuts. I'll have to install VB6 on the new installed computer to see what RR is complaining about since it doesn't complain in the debug file.

To be continued.....

Hope I fixed it. Was to do with the way the RRK8055.ini was read. I used a vb class for this which crashed the dll during the init of the board. Don't know why I did not have this problem in version 1.4.0

:)

307SW_NLD, just got my board home..
Installed their soft. Works perfect, all functions, all inputs/outputs.

D-loaded your last version 2.0.1 of the plugin then copied your inlcuded 2 files in the RR folder. (DLL and INI file)

Next, registered the RRK8055.DDL inside the RR folder.
Here is the result when i am loading the relays skin:

Bottom line, works perfect in RR, but i have not managed to make it work with your 2.0 version. Only this 2.0.1 works...
Have some questions for you though...
1. What do you want me to test to see if it work as you wish?
2. Is there a chance to have the position of the sliders shown?
like you did here:

Can i do this?

Can anyone please give me a printscreen with the CalculateAnalogButton ?
I need just for the resistors under 50K ...
I have no chance to see XLS files...and i have a perfect working sterwheel controller to use...

Tkank you.
