already have that. only used it once. It didnt like working over wifi.
Didn't know it embedded. thought it just downloaded jpgs

Yeah, instead of hi-liting an album, hi-lite an individual track. Then it will embed it into that track. If u hi-lite an album, it won't embed it.

doesnt seem very efficient then, as I have 20 thousand + songs
And I sort them by Artist \ Album \

album cover art downloader has crashed 5 times now going through part of my library

20k songs! that is why it keeps crashing. Also, if u sort by artist/album, u don't need to embed each song. embed by album with the jpeg added to the directory like most people do.

I have a "working" mp3 directory on my main pc, and embed the art there (+ normalize, rename etc..), then transfer them to my main mp3 directory for storage + simultaneously burn to disk or put on my thumbdrive to transfer to my carputer mp3 directory where i don't have subfolders. The working directory keeps the number of songs relatively small & thus it won't crash. I have playlists to categorize things.

I used tag&rename , but with this you need to edit each mp3 file, if you have a lot of them ( who doesn't

With the "X,Mp3Art" line that you ad to the menu.skin file, do you have to ad this to every .skin file that uses this for example the menu.skin, browser.skin etc??

You need to add this line to every screen you want do display the embedded art.

That's where it goes wrong then, the post only said to do it in menu.skin, so if you don't fully understand what you're doing and you're trying to follow it to the letter...

If you've used WMP to get your album art, does that automatically embed it??

If not not how can you tell if files already have the art embedded??

I've tried using other skins that already have album art working and haven't seen it appear on any of them now so I'm trying to cover all bases.

This plug-in work flawles for displaying embedded art, it doesn't however, display it when BBAA or in flash based skins.

I wonder if somebody with the programing skills would be interested in tackling those issues..of course, I'm clueless
