Try adding J,0,0,0,0 to the .skin file to get this to work for flash skins.

All the embedded albumart are now showing in Freedom Ultimate and they even change with the songs..

Did you only add it to the 'menu.skin' file?
And does it matter where you add it?

I think I got it. It shows up on my main menu now too. Only, it doesn't seem to auto update in my phone skin.

Anywhere the album art can be displayed. In freedom ultimate i added it to audio_player.skin only but in iphone i added it there and in menu.skin since the art can be displayed in the main menu as well..

In the FU skin it CAN be displayed on the main page. So I added it there as well.
Only sometimes, it doesn't always appear with the new image after I switch songs? It will show the correct artist, but won't always show the image I embedded with it.
So the "J,0,0,0,0" and the "X,mp3Art" need to be in every skin where the image can be displayed.

Ahah!!!! It wasn't always switching cause in a compilation album I had, with different artists from different albums, I had embedded a 'image' and pointer in that folder.
Deleted those two items, and all is well. It seems there is no need for folder art with compilation albums where youv'e already embeeded images into individual songs with Guino's pluggin.

I don't think this is entirely true. By putting X,mp3art in menu.skin (the first screen that loads) it starts the plug-in upon the skin being loaded and stays loaded no matter what screen you switch to.
But hey, it works for you and that's what's important..

I've tried all the suggestions in this post, but i still can't get this plugin working...
Any suggestions? is there something i have to add to make plugins work or something?

Did you register the dll? Did you put "X,Mp3Art" in the menu.skin file of the current skin? Are you sure yoursongs have embedded art?

I have recently come to find that SOME TYPES of embedded art do NOT work with this plugin simply because they're written in a non-standard (possibly compressed) format which seems to be getting popularity lately. Basically, if your embedded art is not showing after all the proper troubleshooting, try saving art with a different application...

i registered the dll, i put the X, Mp3Art line in the skin file, put in the J,0,0,0,0 line, and i know the songs have embedded art because it shows up on my dad's zune that we put some of my mp3s on. i think my only option is trying another program to embed the art, or just putting album art in the album folders...

What skin are you using? The J,0,0,0,0 was only a temp hack for flash skins like Ultimate.

I'm just using BMV2... i like the look of it so i haven't tried anything else...
i tried with and without the J,0,0,0,0 line, no luck...
i just gave in and started putting album art in my folders, but thanks for your help
