If I want to send different messages in just one button press, how could I get it?
This syntaxis in IBusRR.ini is correct:

B,000,400,200,050,"SENDMSG;iBusRR;MODE_PRESS" || "SENDMSG;iBusRR;MODE_RELEASE" || "SENDMSG;iBusRR;MODE_PRESS" || "SENDMSG;iBusRR;MODE_RELEASE"

Thanks

I made a skin for simplistique which i use, my first skin ever . However it would be nice to integrate park sensor too.

I just come acorss this thread, I, too, have been thinking of tapping into the IBus messages, I always thought that it would be cool to have your Car PC greet to you as soon as you open the door - assuming the damn pc is already up and running ... well you guys beat me to it. Great work!

EnForcer, I will be happy to test your skin along with WaRFiElD IBusRR on my E46.

cheers!

The only problem I noticed that I could not close the rear passenger window.

OK maybe sussed it.

in WaRFiElD's first post he has:

CLOSE_PASSENFER_REAR_WINDOW

whereas in the skin I put

CLOSE_PASSENGER_REAR_WINDOW

my mistake for putting the correct spelling in

Now looking at the ini file for iBusRR he has also put

CLOSE_PASSENFER_REAR_WINDOW

so we have two choices, we can either correct the spelling in the iBusRR.ini or make the ibusRR.skin file match the incorrect spelling.

anyway try changing and see if that corrects it for you.

However further down in the ini irt is spelt

CLOSE_PASSENGER_REAR_WINDOW

@WaRFiElD: Have you managed to get the song title displayed on your E46 in the instrument cluster?

another interesting thing to try, is to translate the press and hold functions of the streeting wheel, to map to fast forward and rewind.

I know that the CD player does that, and I also know that press is read differnetly than release. This would be excellent.

as soon as I clear up code a bit I'll release the sources, but for now I'm working more on getting my car to run since I got my EWS ****ed up while playing with my secret "I-BUS XECUTER" which basically was trying every possible I-BUS codes based on educated guesses to find how to control lights. I bought a carsoft interface on eBay hoping to me able to resync my EWS with my DME, guess I'll have to wait until I receive it.

Stay tuned though for my planed "police mode" or "move ****** mode" which is going to flash high beams/corner lights to simulate a police car when people at night aren't moving on left lane, anybody interested to try??

This is in my todo list too! it's a nice feature that we're missing right now ...

I don't think this will be ever possible, since the text displayed in the instrument cluster is entirely controlled by the OBC and there is not much we can do besides changing miles to kilometers, 24hour time to 12hour, MPG to L/100km, etc

Haha! love the move ***** idea, it's a very good use for what you've done. not sure that individual lights would work on the E39's tho. I know that both lights can be controlled for sure.

I've got some Java code that's half way there that allows you to record a sequence of ibus commands, like "up up down up" and then maps that to a function. It's not restricted to iBUS and I've written a driver for a keyboard as well. Gamepad's etc are all possible too. This should give a boost to the number of possible functions.

Would you be interested in porting this to VB? or even to work on it in Java? I won't be working on this for a while (couple of months at least) as I have a money making project I'm devoting my time to.

Let me know, and keep up the great work dude in all cases.
