As for your buttons, what resolution is your camera currently set to?

to be honest, i haven't set the resolution, so it would be the default whatever that would be. The only change I've made permenantly in the config.ini file is to set test mode to true and the video driver to MSVC , all others are as downloaded and installed.

Check under the settings fro your camera. I think it will be under imaging devices, either under control panel, device manager, or my computer.

Manual claims VGA 640x480, or CIF 320x240. it appears that this isn't adjustable as there are no menu options in any of the "bundled" applications to change the video resolution.

Wierd. I'll have to check the code and fix it so it sizes correctly all the time. Sorry 'bout that.
Been quite busy here lately, and it isnt likely to improve. I'll be coming home in a few weeks! So there is much work to be done, naturally. I will do my best to help you out with any problems though. =]

I cannot see the preview on rrcam window either in carpc and home pc.
Is there some place where I must specify to show the preview?

The only thing I can suggest is enabling test mode, and running it, then pressing the 'list drivers' button. If nothing is listed, than your camera isn't supported.

Can RRCam use any codec installed in my system, or only XVID/MSVC? I would rather use XVID then DIVX but I would really like to try an H.264.

it can use any codec installed, you justneed to set the codec= line in the config to the four character code of the codec you want to use. google 'codec four character codes' to try and find the one you want, though i suspect it is just h264.

Sorry for the delay on response. It's a cheap camera from ebay seller but, don't know why, now seems to be ok. I've just installed divx codecs and testing performances on my esther cpu! Thanks guys

One more question, what are the limits of RRCam's overlay functions? Is it just RR Labels and text? It would be cool if you could frame the video/text in custom graphics that get recorded too.
Actually... does anyone have any suggestions for "post-production"? What I'd really like to do is be able to take an OBD log, GPS log, and RRCam footage, and then create a file that has the front-cam fullscreen, a small box in the lower right with the rearview-cam, a small box in the lower left with a Google-Map, and an indicator bar up to with Date/Time, Speed, RPM, Boost pressure, Clutch status, Break status, Accelerator status, and turn-signal status (all using overlayed indicator graphics and flash gauges rather than text).

Hi Inh
Well the whole thing works pretty cool....Modified a few buttons on the DFx skin to suit the needs....
How ever would love to have a FEATURE in u can impliment in this ...
HOw about having a setting for the number of recordings to AUTO save before the first 1 is deleted ....
Like recording 5 files ( appox 50 ~ mb files ) and when 6th video file is recorded the 1st one is deleted and so on....
This way we can have a contineous recording and not BIG/ HEAVY files as when i drive around here i see quite a few JERKS with crazy driving.......
thanx
