Where can I download RRCam 2.0 plug-in?

-added minimized and normal startup options
-added minimize and maximize com messages
-Added border to make it a bit more user friendly when run outside of RoadRunner
-Added '-minimize' command line switch
-Added a setting to detect (and kill, if deisred) multiple instances of RRCam, so that only one will be running at any time
-Fixed bug so that window messages/commands no longer have to be all uppercase
-Added support to resize based on skin settings in general.ini. Note that if your skin isnt displaying at a multiple of your camera resolution, you will have grey bars on either side of the video window. IE: If your camera is 800x600, and you set your skin to display at 1024x768, there wont be any problems, but if you try 1280x800, there will be bars on either side.

-Added support for touching the video window, etc. There are two sets of settings in the config. One is for while RRCam is in normal skin mode, the other is for when it is in fullscreen mode. You can set which actions you want RRCam to perform while in either mode, when either a single click is detected, or a click and hold. BY default, a single click takes in and out of fullscreen mode, and a click and hold takes a still picture of the video and saves it.

-Added VIDEOWIDTH and VIDEOHEIGHT com messages to set the video display area of RRCam.

-RRCam now defualts to testmode when started without RoadRunner running.

-files and length in recording in config.ini

-EXIT command changedto PREPEXIT, because now it just prepares RRCam to be closed. you need to use RoadRUnners CLOSEWINDOW command to actually close the program.

-Added MOVE;X;Y command, where X and Y are the window postion for RRCam, in pixels
-Added POSITION to ini files, where it is position=x,y for startup position

There are still more things to do, but I wanted to get this released for you guys =]

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but where can I download the RRCam 2.0 plug-in?

How ever would love to have a FEATURE in u can impliment in this ...
HOw about having a setting for the number of recordings to AUTO save before the first 1 is deleted ....
Like recording 5 files ( appox 50 ~ mb files ) and when 6th video file is recorded the 1st one is deleted and so on....
This way we can have a contineous recording and not BIG/ HEAVY files as when i drive around here i see quite a few JERKS with crazy driving.......

thanx

I actually implemented that for this release! =D Under the recording section in the config, set files to the number of files you want, and length is the length of each file

inh - just a question, I see rrcam is getting the gps info from rr. Is there a way that info can be picked up in standalone mode?

hmmm - could this be the gps and com tools ....

inh - found a bug - when using com and gps utils - when you request gpslong using com to the gps util - it gets the response gpsspd and the correct gps longitude - thus when using this with rrcam it puts the actual gps longitude value into the gpsspd variable. Can you please have a look into this. All the other variables and values get passed correctly.

I will look in to it as soon as possible. I am due to return stateside in a couple weeks, and I mailed home the cameras I used for testing.

In the mean time, could you type out a step by step of the things you are doing and the results you are getting?

Thanks =]

This looks cool. Can I use this as a stand alone program and embed it into another front end?
I am looking for something that will continue recording after the pc resumes and stops when it enter standby. Will this do this?
Thanks

K.

I'm confused. When I run rrcam.exe I don't get any skin at all, just default grey buttons.
Some of the settings in the config.ini do stuff and some don't. I tried turning all the test overlay to true but only gps speed shows up. When I record it goes to the rrcam folder and not where I specified. The buttons are different than what the ini file says.
The config says
Button1Label=Record
Button2Label=Stuff
Button3Label=Still
Button4Label=Stuff
Button5Label=Mirror
Button6Label=Close RRCam
but what I see is Record, Capture still, Mirror, List Drivers, exit

I also can't find any way to change my camera resolution to 640x480 in my drivers.

I can't figure out how to skin this thing as a stand alone. It does not pick up the skin files. None the button settings in the config.ini have any affect.
What am I doing wrong?

To be honest, I'm not sure this can be skinned outside of RR (ie standalone).

Yeah, that's what I thought. RRCam directly isn't skinnable, but you can hide the buttons to the right and send commands to it through your frontend (i.e. create the buttons in your skin and make them send the correct commands, f.ex record, exit, ... to RRCam).

(Correct me if I'm wrong.)
