ok i'm happy to announce that the core of applicaton is done. It still needs few fixes but now only thing left is to do the config file and RR integration

can some one help me out with getting the GPS data from the RR into my APP?

tell you what..why don't you access the gps data natively from the com port, that way people can use a com splitter, one for the gps software and one for the camera, that would make your app work with more front ends..(though i am a fundamental RR user

) i believe that would be faster too.. you can use "gps speed" "coordinates" natively from the com port

i can put that as an option BUT processing NMEA does take some CPU and if RR alredy does it then it is better to use it from RR. Well I will do as u asked to have 2 options one is RR (as lond as i can figure how to do that) and second one from GPS directly.

PS: GPS does not send the speed it only sends coordintates and service info and ten you can calcolate the speed from change from point A to point B (at least thats what I know)

You have to create an object to the rr sdk, then you can poll the information from it. In AutoIt the code looks like this:

$speed=$rr.getinfo("GPSSPD")
$lat=$rr.getinfo("GPSLAT")
$lon=$rr.getinfo("GPSLON")

I guess it's similar with other programming languages.

Any idea why rrcam wont show the GPSLON on my system?
It always says LON:GPSLON
All the other information like LAT, city,zip is displayed.

If anyone got the source code from the author please let me know or post a link for download

I assume there should be shared DLL or OCX file?

silvi4000, my app will have this functionality in couple of days. As to original RRcam i dont know, i didnt write it

Hm. Never downloaded a SDK, but my AutoIt programs work

. In fact RR starts when I run my script and creates the object. Dunno why, can't remember using an installer for RR.

ok which one is considered old version is that theoldest one? and what extantion has the sample? (so i dont have to go nuts opening evry file there)

It's not a file specifically, you need to create a dll.

Look in the extension plugin folder, that is a very basic example of how to do one.

Or have a look at the TPMS or PDC plugins by RobbyBMW, he has released the sources to his plugins, I found the TPMS one easier to understand and adapt.

same way you compile an exe, just select ActiveX.dll and make sure you have the the CLS set up like the one in the example.
