That's where you need a good screen / system locking utility Have a look at the one in my skin. (Press top left corner of the main menu screens). It will completely lock someone out of the system until a correct code is entered. Rebooting the PC won't get you around it either There are also power. hibernate, and standby buttons on the lock screen, so you can lock and shut down so when it powers back up, it remains locked.
It can easily be used with another skin, just copy the skin file and the scripts over....

Browers locks up RR
First let me say thanks. This looks like it will be great (if I can get it working). Anyway the problem I have run into is after the database has been completed. When I select the browser button it locks up RR and I have to exit to get it back. I used the install from dfx4. Any help will be apreciated.

Another thing I found out Blue, is when you enable Voice in RRConfig, your RR_Media just keeps jabbing away.
Every time you change the song it will say "RM Onsongstart (Onsongstart is spelled out), reset stars rm rate zero". I mean on every song. Is there a way to keep it quiet?

That's because he pauses the music when he changes things.
When you have voice enabled it only speaks if music (or video) is not playing

Uh..not quiet, wise one...
I have seen a few posts in the DFX 3.0 and 4.0 that mention about RR speaking cmds. I'd say that there must be bug in RR that makes it speak some cmds even though there wasn't a "to be spoken" part of the cmd as stated in the skin commands text. That and I have never personally heard these problems from my RR's b/c i dont use voice, its cool for a short time then becomes annoying.. As I had a car that actually spoke cmds and after some point I was like...shut the Fxxx up, my Fxxx'n door is not a-jar, its a door!!

Blue, enable voice, and then pause your music, see how RR rabbits on.
every button command will be spoken/spelled out. or commands sent to it by plugins etc.

Build database does nothing
on my boat PC, truck PC works ok, but on the boat PC when I press the build database button, nothing seems to happen at all, and no music shows up in the browser.
On this PC Road runner is installed at C:\program files\roadrunner, not the default c:\program files\road runner.

Going to need just a tad more details...
Like with which skin (demo, dfx, other), do you see any of the two icons in the systray (RMdisk or builder)?

Make sure you have the plugin dll registered(run the regRRmedia.bat) and that you have the RMDatabase folder and its contents in your rr folder..

ran RegRRMedia.bat, checked that RMDatabase folder and contents were located in my RR directory, re-started Road Runner, same result.
