RR does not nativly support non mp3/wma formats, but putting that file in RR dir will allow rr to read all kinds of different tag formats. I have brought this up to mitch and he will be including it with the next update installer..
Yep, that did the trick. Thanks much.

Brother Blue,
Started another install with the latest RR, Did the data base build and this is what I get. Searched for overflow and came up empty. Did I forget something or did I miss something.

Nope, you've hit the limit...sorta. John already found this bug and its on the top of the list of things todo/fix.
You must have more than 32767 files in your musicpath and Y your getting that overlfow error.
I do see in your SC that is what your prob is. I might just have to do a quick fix for this before it bits my behind some more...

Will the DB build up to this point or will it stay empty?
Still a great job on this.

I would go out on a limb and say that your db should contain at least close to that limit. The builder commits the scanned tag info on every 2% increment.

O.K. Thanks for the swift response. I'll probably just remove the last 20k for now so I can have it fully functional.

hi blue, after a long time and refreshed vcredist file rrmedia runs on my machine.
now i have a small problem with the look of date and time.
in the roadrunner install i can set the way roadrunner should show me the DATE and TIME.
at the moment rrmedia shows me the look of UK/USA. is it possible to change DATED ADDED and LAST PLAYED DATE in way we use it in the other part of europe ?
DAY | MONTH | YEAR
OURS in 24 hours look, no AM/PM
thanks

I have been working to finally get RRMedia working and after finally getting my library converted from WMA's to MP3's, downloaded version 1.2.2 and I am getting the following errors.
AUTOIT ERROR
Line-1:
Error. the requested action with this object has failed
This splashs over the main RR screen. Then when I try to rescan, I get another error.
The second error is Main:
Invalid procedure call or argument in RMbuilder
The database is not scanning any of the music files.
Any idea what the problem could be? Are there any windows services etc that RRMedia depends on?
Edit: Solution
For some reason there were .directory files in all of my music folders that was causing RRmedia to crash. Once the files were deleted the database built properly and the AutoIT error stopped popping up when loading RR.

I have 43.157 music files in 10.253 folders. I have no problem using RR before (LSXVoid 3.0). So you're saying your great solution won't work for me? Will I get overflow errors?
Also, will this help me index my collection of music video files (287 files)?
Thanks.
Update: Nope, I can't get it to scan my music folder. It freezes when it reaches 14% @ 3710 songs, and apparently does not see the entire library (it sees only 26493 files). I click to rescan it, but it stops again at the same point.

Just realized that if I pressed a disk button in DFX the sound mutes/lowers. I can however raise the vol. back up through the skin after it does this but I do not remember this ever happening before. I have upgraded to the new RR but not sure if that is when it started.

No it has always done that from the begining, lowering the vol when loading a disk.

Thank you Blue. But I do have another unrelated question that does not have to do with your plug-in, that I'm sure you know the answer too.
