Skin.ini works for me cause I run three different primary skins and that way I can have it sized exactly for each since they're not the same.
OBTW, I'm working on an RRcode section for the EXECtbl.ini that will automatically switch TRACKNAME and AlbumART in the menuXXX.skins for this plugin, I am stumped by one issue right now that has to do with how you stop the audio when starting the uTube playing. It works fine if RRTube is run from audio, but if its run from FM, the FM isn't muted. Have you considered using the mute command instead - that should work with all audio sources.

El, how about a button for list of files you saved/downloaded. I understand you can access them from video, but would be nice to play them inside rrtube skin...

Was any of the stuff over at Open Pandora helpful in writing your plugin? http://openpandora.googlepages.com/
I love Pandora and use it in my car all the time. I actually use the open pandora window right now because it is so simple.

i did a pandora plugin as well some time ago, it is included in my dead skin(polaris) for RRtube i did some research in youtube's api and thanks to pandoras plugin legacy, it was fairly easy to put this together, i was planning to use a flash based controller, but the way RR handles flash, might be useless in most CarPc. so i went this route, thanks for the link i will take a look and see if i can ge something out of it.

I am not sure why this does not work....
I can play .flv files in Media Player Classic fine that I have downloaded from the plugin in RR but the player will not show in the skin. I have added .flv to the video types in rr.ini. (put in alphabetical order; my test PC has it at the end - does it make a difference?). Should I check the option to use "built in player" as well?
The other thing is that I can get this to work on my test PC so I've seen it work but not on my carpc
What else should I check?

so the plugin works, and the problem is playing flv videos, right? make sure to not have any corrupted files in your downloaded videos folder.
