@Dartman 71. If you mean can you have a text file that the plugin reads rather than going to the phone itself then yes. It already exists. In Lucifers skin (see post 2) you can select a phone list type (I suggest PC rather than sim or mem) and then add numbers to it. After that you can select the PC again and you'll see the numbers and can select them for use. The file is stored in the plugin directory and is called mobilephone_pc.txt.

I am going to start making the plugin store the dialled calls,missed calls as well but this isn't a perfect solution because it wont know about calls on the phone that where done without the plugin.

The phone book and sms stuff is due soonish. Keep watching.

Thank's lambosprit. Now I have new question. I try to change Robby's BMW E36 skin work with Mobilephone plugin but your commands work only in skin which name is mobilephone.skin. I change phoco.skin to mobilephone.skin and change button command, everything works fine but when I try to change commands in contacts.skin it doesn't work. Is there way to get this working?

the dll is coded to only accept commands from mobilephone.skin, this is a legacy of Lucifers code. I thought it was a good idea but now thinking about it , it means the mobilecall.skin wont work as well. I'll remove it and post a new version after sonic has tested the new logging.

Hi guys,

I'm doing testing of this plugin on my test computer and I've got a question. How do you go back to the previous screen? I can only go back why hitting "ESC" on my keyboard. Is there another way to go back to the previous screen bc I can't imagine having to have a keyboard while using this in the car. I must be over looking something.

Dartman. I added the + command but its not in the skin. You will have to do this yourself. On this point does anyone know why * is used. I know about # and + but not star.

J007w. Thanks for the thanks. It may seem small but it goes a long way to keeping my enthusiasm up and tells me people are actually getting benefits.

d0tech. Are you using lucifers skin or bmv2. The reason I ask is the plugin dosn't control the going back, its the skin. In the first version of lucifers skin I used QUIT instead of EXIT. If you look at your mobilephone.skin file check for this. Otherwise I would need to see the skin file your using.

hi all
i am running in to a few problems when i restart from hibernate

is this some thing i have done wrong or is it the same problem that sonicx
was having

and why can i only get the plugin to work when i copy the files
from the mobilephone plugin folder to the rr folder is this normal

and with the phone book the text doc is getting saved but
the names and numbers are not coming up in the skin
where have i gone wrong with that

apart from those few small things all is working great
thanks lambo for putting in the time to do this keep the the updates coming

p.s sorry for the spelling and grammar it's not one of my strong points

Have you checked the log file to see which version you are actually running. You can use the carwings screen as per post 1.

I suspect the phonebook problem is because of the problems your having with the directory location.

Just to be clear, because this is a dll program the location is irrelevant. Its where its registered that counts. The debug log contains a line that says "Current directory:". this should be where the dll is found. (you will have to set the debuglevel to 4 or higher to see this)

Have you tried registerig it with the /codebase argument (see post 77). Sometimes it looks like its registered properly when it hasn't been. Again the carwings plugin manager shows you if it has or hasn't.

i have another small request. Each new version comes out via installer and i believe the installer is overwriting my ini file each time its run. This requires me to change the settings. Can i zip of just the binary files be posted? Or could the installer check for the .ini and avoid overwriting if it exists?
