Extention plugin, to retrieve movie information . this PI was created for the Ranger Skin by Carputer1, got a couple of pm's asking for it, so here it is. very simple and easy to skin/use. be aware that only works in video_browser.skin and needs a CL not a DL.
Fixed bug, in "List" command thanks carputer1. Added Video Preview (needs WMP ver 7 or above.)
this is how i got my movies saved.
D:\Media\Videos ---->
-----------------------\Coraline---->
-------------------------------------\Corline.avi
-------------------------------------\folder.jpg
------------------------------------- \movie.nfo
well i have been useing the old version of this for some time now , it has never let me down yet , 1 good thing about this is , that it saves the info found to the video folder , so you don't have to scrap the site everytime , i have done most of my videos, then i switch the download function off, till i add another video to my collection. as for scaping its not getting the info in the way you think, there's a few little tricks in this plugin, on the way it gets the info. yes it is getting the info from the "name of plugin" but not directly.
Ok, I was just testing this to see if I could get it to work....
How are you getting the path to the videos to display the list? When I use the skin included, the directory list is empty. When I switch to my standard Video_Browser.skin, the list shows, so I know the VIDEOPATH is correct.
Are you passing code on the button going to the video browser skin to propagate the Custom List or something?

Ok, not sure what I am missing here.... I just uninstalled the older version, and downloaded the one in the first post. When I go to the browser screen, there are no movies listed at all.
I have my movies as just about everyone else does, each movie in it's own folder:
Star Trek
---------->Folder.jpg
---------->Star Trek.avi
---------->Star Trek.nfo
G.I. Joe
---------->Folder.jpg
---------->G.I. Joe.avi
---------->G.I. Joe.nfo
When I use my standard Video Browser, I get the list of movies no problem...

Your getting the value via the sdk correct? I ask only b/c when you get that from RR, any/all path related setting will always end in a "\", reguardless if setting has or not.
another 1 for you El , SELECT button when used in audio_browser, locks RR , works fine when i Unreg'ed this PI. looks like there is a conflict between Movie_info's SELECT and RR's Audio Browser SELECT.

All plugin commands and labels should start with the plugin name so as not to conflict with any other plugins or the default commands (unless it is by design)
