great news. With guino's help i've fixed the program so that it no longer requires the winamp plugin. Changes soon to come!

Ok, I had it all working except that there was no data saved. I found that each playlist was putting a C: before the directory of the song...so it would look like

C

:\Music...

I figured that out after running the auto update for RR and after re-installing the rating plugin. Now I have a weird problem. When I rate the song (click on 5 --> apply), I see 5 stars and than one by one they disappear (the small star raitings on the audio player screen). Than I check the playlist and it never got added.

Any ideas? I've looked around but don't really see anything.

the lastest rr changed the way the song information was sent to my plugin (i used to have to add a drive letter but now its included). Have this fixed i just need my site back up so i can send it. i also have created a new 100% flash ratings skin for freedom .. this means no more annoying indicator issues.

Could something in the latest road runner change be the reason that my rating plug in doesn't work anymore? Also, I'm using the LSX skin.
It used to work but stopped working. This happened on my carpc and my testpc (laptop).
Has anyone else see any problems or know what might be going on? Thanks.

cool, ive been trying to figure out what was going on my self. I figured something had to have changed in the last few updates. I went back a RR release but it was still broken so im not sure when it actually broke.

If you need some temp sever space, PM me i have a FTP you can use until your site comes back up.

i appreciate that. I'll have a new version ready monday. If you're using ur own skins you need to prep them by replacing the "!" in the SETIND commands with "CUSTOM". For Example,

Before:
SETIND;!5star;ON

Now:
SETIND;CUSTOM5star;ON

hadda to hard code this because i wanted to have the ability to make flash skins.

If you're using ur own skins you need to prep them by replacing the "!" in the SETIND AND SETLABEL commands with "CUSTOM". For Example,

Before:
SETIND;!5star;ON

Now:
SETIND;CUSTOM5star;ON

I tried the new files with the updated version on my test laptop but that didn't fix it. I still have to try it in the car before I can def say that it's not working for me.

I have one stupid question, I know that I'm supposed to create a Ratings button to use the plugin and I can't remember if i did this when I first installed your plugin on my test laptop and car but I did have the plug in working before. Do I need to re-create the button? In the LSX skin, if I press and hold a button, I can re-assign the Ratings button. Is that all that I need?

the .skin files in lsxvoid need to be updated before it will work. Ill post updated files in this thread.

Im still getting my paths written with two drive letters

C:H:\My Music\Dave Chappelle's Block Party (live)\01 Hip Hop.wma

even when i edit the .m3u files to have the correct path, no dice.

also tried to use the flash skin but the close button dosent work, so the screen stays stuck open.
also dont have the menu.txt file

do you have the latest flash? I had that issue to til my flash was upgraded.

As for your playlist save issue is your RR folder and music folder on the same drive? That might be part of the issue. The main issue was probably i only coded up to G: and you have H:. Thats easily fixable.

ok here's an exe i want you to test. This should make it so drive letter is obsolete as it reads the drive letter from your musicpath in RR.ini. As long as youre rating songs in your music directory it'll work (i hope).

The full setup version with this included will be released tomorrow when i go back to work. I have to update ratecheck.exe to make use of flash skins etc etc.

Speaking of flash skins, the reason i found close doesnt work is because i dragged it instead of clicked it.. even the slightest drag will trigger a drag event which is currently set to do nothing.. this will be fixed tomorrow as well.

that fixes the path issue. For some reason its still not tracking if the song is rated or not. For example, if i rate it 5starts, then go to rate it again, none of the stars are active and it shows it as not rated. Actually a lot of features still aren't working right. If i rate a song to be 5 stars, then rate it as 3 stars, its now located in both playlist, before it would check to make sure no duplicates.

Im still having some other issues though but im not sure if this is because how i have it setup.

In my skin, on the main menu, i have 5 indicators and also in the audio player screen i have 5 indicators, for the 5 stars.

The way i had it setup, before whatever changed in the last RR release, is when you played a song it would check to see what rating it was and set the indicators so you didnt have to guess if it was rated or not.

ill have to dig a little and see if i can figure out whats going on.
