Similar Issue
I have a similar issue, installed per instructions. When I activate skin it comes up blank, if I exit back to main RR skin then reactivate I get GE maximized over the skin. Alt-Tab will put the skin over GE, but GE is not visible. Works good except that I cannot use the skin interface and I have to do the activate/deactivate trick to get it to come up.
I am using GE Plus which may have something to do with it. For the life of me I cannot get it back to GE Standard...
Would a video of the GE initialization process help to debug it? I get several popups about logging in, etc... I also seem to get one that says your kml will load once GE login is complete, that requires an ok to continue.
thanks,
Chip

Guino,
I've tried several skins/setups, same outcome. Seeing a few here having similar problems, I wonder if it is GE Plus being installed as I have that since I had Plus before this and upgraded to version 4beta. Since Plus shows "GoogleEarth Plus" in the application window when task manager is opened.
I tried to uninstall plus clean it and then do the free version of 4beta but the install just sees the previous plus version and installs back to there.

Reverting to "Free" Version
I sent an email to google on how to switch back, they didn't respond with a message, but sent me an email saying that a refund had been processed. When I logged back in it asked if I wanted to resubscribe or switch to the free version...
Quino, is it possible the RREarth.exe is still not the right one, I downloaded today and can't get it to do anything... Unfortunately I overwrote the version from a couple of days ago so it may just be something else dumb I did...
Great work by the way!
My wife was riding with me yesterday and said something was wrong because there was a lot more traffic around us than the screen showed...

What the hell ? it shows Google Earth Plus on the taskbar -- if so, that's the problem right there -- I did not build any support to search for possible matches when embedding it... can anyone (with plus) pull up the exact window title and class name using WinsPectorSpy ? Then I can add support for it.

for those of you that are having problems even loading the skin. are you running roadrunner.exe? you HAVE to run that (not rr.exe) to get anywhere.

Skin Not Loading
The current version of RREarth.exe seems to have a problem. I found my old copy and now that I got rid of plus it works good. The version that is currently available for download doesn't activate the skin when you hit the button, nothing visible happens at all. Switching only this executable from old to new makes it work/not work for me.
This is the case with the latest RoadRunner.exe being used.

You should use "GE_START" to open the skin, if that's not working, please post a debug log file when trying to execute it.
