Sorry, I don't have a clue. I don't have destinator, so I can't test.

The only thing I can think of is that the diaglog box for city searching isn't clicked or in focus when bringing up the OSK?

wow.. Great skin Sal.. Awsome job.. I know this isn't made for ig skin.. but would it be possible to add quick IG buttons for GPS skin? I am not a graphic artist by any means... I think this would mean a lot to those of us using IG for navigation.. Just buttons on both side... 3d, poi, zoom in/out, full, etc... If not, I understand. You already have put so much time and effort into this.. I'll try to add them, but god it's gonna look sucky... Can't image...

Thanks for ur great work!

Not a problem. I'll post it up in a day or two.

I don't think that's the case, because Destinator takes only over the last letter I type.

Maybe you can take a look at it. You can download Destinator PN from www.woerners-online.de/destinator/desti.exe

Greets Quincy

Edit: Problem with the navigation solved. I have no idea how, but I showed my install to a co-worker today and out of the blue Destinator copies the entire text from the OSK.

See post #2 for files to patch an iG specific EXTERNAL_GPS.skin.

Im having trouble with the skin. Im using the most current version of RR and the most current version of the config program. Im getting what you described to be the gdi error and I manually registered it in windows but the problem still exists. Another thing that I noticed/couldnt find is you mentioned a Setup program? Is it still in this version as I know it has been updated a few times?

I will do a search and then edit this post if i find it.
Thanks

Does the problem persist when using another skin that uses transparency?

"Setup" is not a program. It's just the set of skin options under "Setup" (Upper Right Hand Button) so you can set your skin preferences.

I couldnt tell you if the problem happens with a different skin, im not sure that the other skins that I use have transparency. I currently use iDrive and iDrive Night Red from Enforcer.

If there is a specific skin that i should try to see if the problem happens there, let me know.

Thanks on the setup information, I wouldnt have found it considering i cant get the skin to load yet.

Try ShockV6.0.

It's a simple skin that uses transparency.

I just downloaded 6.1.1

Will do. I should be able to tell you if it worked this afternoon. If it doesnt, what would you recommend that I try?

Well, if Shock doesn't work for you, then something else is wrong with your install and will not allow you to use RR Skins w/ transparencies.

Open rr.ini and check for fastmode=-1

From the sound of it, the GDI error is not specifically related to my skin. And if registering GDIPlusWrapper.dll didn't clear it up, gotta start listing out the specs of your OS.

Yeah... I figured out what the problem was. I didnt notice this and you might not have either. I WAS editing the rr.ini file, but it never occured to me that the config program would overwrite the changes that I directly made to the file. I noticed that even though I had changed the fastmode, when I ran RR it would be changed back. Went into the config program and fastmode was disabled. Re-enabled fastmode, checked the ini, and everything came up. Im having issues with the font, but I havent done any changes to the config.

Thanks for all the help, you gave me ideas to check.

MMI and Mappoint : again ...

Hello Sal,

I had the bad luck I needed completly to reinstall my carpc (yes, broken harddisk. Need to buy a SSD)

Now, I can't find why it keeps me showing the wrong screen when selecting Navigation.
Where the mappoint card is expected, I receive this :

Any idee what this can be ?

Thanks.
