No, i wouldn't go that far... ^^
The man has not even released the beta ver.. Let the man have some fun creating his own, the first.. Let him finish the framework first, then ask nicely if he can share the source so, guys can add/modify things to their taste... Don't make it sound like as if he should... Because he shouldn't have to..... We are in position to ask, not tell the guy what is ideal or right thing to do.. However, i personally love blk's approach... It just makes job so much faster and easier if work as a team...

first of all relax, what's with all the cussing. second ok i won't use the word "baby" because you obviously have a problem with it, how about HIS property, third no matter how rude you become if he's not done he won'r release it, so you can continue to hit your head against the keyboard if you think that will make time go quicker, and yes it is a community and yes everyone pitches in but the first or beta release if put out by the author then everyone pitches in to make it better.

I suggest you go create a skin of your own, maybe then you will understand why people (in most cases) do not release their hard work for everyone to hack around with.
And yes when someone creates a skin it is their little baby and they will be very protective about it.
There will be a few who put put a base design out there for others to have a crack at, Carwings is example, which I think is the one you tried to allude to and failed miserably, but they are rare.
Oh and the two other skins you mentioned, yes each was done by an individual, they have colaborated with ideas in the background for scripts and code but all the graphic work and putting the skin together is their own work. They are not community projects.
And there is no need for the four letter words either.

First of all who is cussing.. its all **** ..
first of all the whole thing about RR is that its an open source program.. community contribution.. and again.. both of you too made into a personal issue...
All i am saying is that since this skin has so much potential I posted a comment to the author to release what he has so far if he cant commit to it because as i stated, i didn't want this to be another great conceptual skin that was never released..
THATS MY WHOLE POINT!!
now Enforcer.. you make your points and thank you, i will design my own skin in due time and i really hope you can help me out because really it cause of your skins i am hoping this skin comes out!

Current progress of the skin is as follows:
Note: I am creating the icons one by one by hand and they take time.
Thanks to those of you that understand that creating skins take time and that creators want to be proud of their
creations. I will release the beta once I feel that the skin functions are complete for beta testing

WOW.. the skin looks super sweet, just curious any plans on using BBAA (Browse by album art) in the skin? Simular to whats found in Lsx Void or DigitalFx. Transparent AVS visualization that take the up most of or the entire screen would be nice too.

At this point BBAA (Browse by album art) has not been deiced yet nor worked on....however, AVS are currently working perfectly.
I am currently doing a complete rework of the code for the skin. Basicly creating a framework on which additional skins and icons
can be added. Hopefully everything will be done in the next couple of weeks for a beta release.

Sweet I hope the AVS will pretty much take up the entire screen . BBAA is a really nice feature having a quick visual reference for finding albums really simplifies finding music.
Any plans on having the ability to change the background wallpaper image (I.E using your own picture for a background)?
The effort and artistry that yourself and others put into RoadRunner really make this and exciting hobby.
