whoa, the new gauges screen looks awesome!
quick question (that's probably been answered somewhere already): the City/State/County/Zip is blank in your new preview shot, just like my Gauges screen in the current DFX. Is this a known issue with RR, or do I have to set something up? I have RR set up with its own GPS COM port, and I can get the Lon/Lat/#Satellite readings.

Also make sure in rr.ini that localdatacaptureinterval is set to something other than 0. If you want it to update every minute, which is what I want, it should say localdatacaptureinterval=1.

Ah that's probably it. I have Zips.dat but I don't have the update interval set. I'll have to go home to check on that later. Thanks!

So I think it would be cool if you could find a website that told sunrise and sunset based on GPS / Zip and the adjustment of your new brightness contol be activated by that.
I have a script here that calculates your Sunrise and Sunset based on your GPS position. Its just a matter of putting the logic into the other script, shouldn't be to hard... I'll see what I can do.

Yea, as mentioned the Zips.dat file and the locate file in the rr.ini. I do not have an active GPS signal on my desktop, thus the sat lock and all labels at the top are blank.

If you are wearing your seat belt, it should look pretty much the same... if not would probably look something like this

Only if their head had gone through the dash and was looking back at it.

When I open Iguidance in digitalFX it does open all the way. I have to hit the toggle button to get it to set right. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Check the GPS tab within the Road Runner config program. I think there is a text input box for GPS window name or something like that. Make sure you type it in as iGuidance or it won't embed the app properly. I had the same problem the other day and this is what I think fixed it.

Any Idea why that sometimes when Roadrunner/DFX opens my screen gets slightly dimmer? Even upon exiting of roadrunner it will remain this lowered gamma. Sometimes a restart won't fix it, and then the next day it is fine.... Any clues?

Update... Just tested on my desktop and my brightness dropped by half as I opened RR. Upon exiting it did not return...How do I sue the gamma control?

Ok, so I have the Zips.dat from this post in my C:\Program Files\Road Runner\ directory, and the [Weather] section in my rr.ini looks like this:
Code:
[Weather]
cityweather=Sunnyvale, CA
weatherunits=USA
weatherdegress=º
localdatacaptureinterval=1
But I still don't have the city/state/county/zip working in the Gauges screen. What else could be wrong with my setup?

Alright disregard the above about Gamma...I'm a dip$&^%....
Although it still keeps the night gamma for the whole desktop when I exit RR..This I can live with.

Get a Good Lawyer Sorry, I just could NOT resist that one!
That has to be a setting from another skin, or something set in the RRConfig, as no gamma preset stuff comes with the DFX skin. I personally have not used gamma really, so can't be of too much help on this one...
