Hello DFX 4 users...
I have 9.2k songs on my DT and John has like 29K showing RRMedia has no limits meaning, there is a bug or issue with something in your music collection. I would assume that you mean when you hit xx songs that you are talking about the builder screen.
I would like to get anyone having problems with the new RRMedia to more precise about any issues they like what you were doing when the issue occured and what the messages on any msgbox's you get as this will greatly help to narrow the problem area down as going througth 4,000 lines and locationing where the problem might lie a tad bit difficult and hopefully get it fixed quicker.

BlueZX3 made a small program to do just that, run this program in your MP3 root folder, (where the RRMediaDB.db database file is located) In a few seconds you will see a Record Paths in db.txt file. Open this, and have a look at the last couple of songs. It may be some strange character in the tags, or in the file name causing it. A lot of logic is put into the script to filter out strange things, but there is no way to know every character in every language that could potentially cause problems. If it can be identified, it can either be fixed with the file, or with the database builder.
As for all the other bugs and suggestions above, I have copied them to a text file and will adress each one of them.

John,
Really, really nice work. I was a little worried about the font changes, but I love the way it looks. The database feature is a huge improvement. You're right that it performs like greased lightning. I like the way it saves the search results as a playlist that can then be loaded.
I haven't been able to play with it as much as I would like, but so far it seems very stable. One issue I'm having is that I can't get anything to show up in the logo portion of the menus. Regardless of what I do it stays blank. Changing the menu layout has no effect. It worked fine for me in 3.0.
I haven't been able to figure out how to use some of the new features yet, foremost among them being the disk changer. Hopefully, that will become clear once you post the video. I'm also having a heck of a time finding the gamma slider.
Thanks again for all the hard work. A donation is on the way.

Aha, I see that I have to set up a button for brightness and then it appears when I hit the button. Nice.

But I'm not doing anything different than I did in 3.0.....and 3.0 still works fine.
BTW, I dont want to use the play list. I just want to play the MP3's like theres a CD in the drive, from song to song.

Edit: Installed correct version like the instructions said and logos work fine. Sorry!

Are you sure you're not confusing the search results screen with the playlist screen? The songs that show up on the screen when you do a search will not play like the songs in the playlist. You can only play one song at a time from that list and the buttons at the bottom don't work the way they do in a normal playlist. If you want to play all of the songs that appear in the search results, you need to go to manage playlists and load the playlist that says [searchresults].

MP3art plug-in is not working. I've turned it on via the plug-in manager. Running 5-27-08 version of RoadRunner.
Thanks,
Jarred

Donations:
I appreciate the donations that some of you have sent, and I thank you immensely.
I do ask that you guys keep in mind that all of the Media Database was coded by BlueZX3. He has spent 9 months coding just about every single day, for thousands of hours to bring this ability to Road Runner, and to the DigitalFX skin. He has also helped to 100% incorporate the database into the skin, as well as helping with the gamma slider, and created the ability to change the colors on the progress sliders. Needless to say, he has helped with so much stuff, its hard to remember it all
So if you consider donating for the work in this skin, I ask that you take that donation, cut it in half, and give the other half to blue. It's only fair.
Or if you are in a really good mood, just don't split the donation in half at all, and just donate that amount to both of us! LOL! (Just kidding of course!)

Funny you should mention that, Blue, because as soon as I hit the post button I thought that I should have mentioned that a donation would be coming your way as well. Then I thought I remembered that you have your own donation button on your media database thread and figured I would just go there. You have become an indispensable member of this forum and your efforts need to be rewarded. Accordingly, donation coming.

As another data point in the database building:
18626 songs in 16:21. No glitches. Beautiful work!

I took the work of the person that fixed the sat skins for DFX 3 and tweaked the DFX 4 files. Sat and Ter bars work like a charm now.

Ok...
Having HD Radio issues. I got my HD working and was perturbed how when I switched from HD radio back to MP3, the plaer was at volume of 0. Did some research and found "Mitch's" RR patch and HD radio updates. Installed accordingly and eplaced the RR.exe with his. It works a little better with HD radio however the Slider bar at the bottom is back to the old format and my Center logo was gone. Switched back to my backed up "Weather Fixed" RR and those problems resolved, but now the HD Radio doesn't work.
